‘Wanted’
‘Wanted’ tells the tale of one apathetic nobody’s transformation into an unparalleled enforcer of justice. In 2008, the world will be introduced to a hero for a new generation: Wesley Gibson. 25-year-old Wes was the most disaffected, cube-dwelling drone the planet had ever known.
His boss chewed him out hourly, his girlfriend ignored him routinely and his life plodded on interminably. Everyone was certain this disengaged slacker would amount to nothing.

There was little else for Wes to do but wile away the days and die in his slow, clock-punching rut. Until he met a woman named Fox. After his estranged father is murdered, the deadly sexy Fox recruits him into the Fraternity, a secret society that trains Wes to avenge his father’s death by unlocking his dormant powers.
As she teaches him how to develop lightning-quick reflexes and phenomenal agility, Wes discovers this team lives by an ancient, unbreakable code: carry out the death orders given by fate itself. With wickedly brilliant tutor - including the fraternity’s enigmatic leader, Sloan - Wes grows to enjoy all the strength he ever wanted.
But slowly, he begins to realize there is more to his dangerous associates than meets the eye. And as he wavers between newfound heroism and vengeance, Wes will come to learn what no one can ever teach him: he alone controls his destiny.

2 Oscar Shows
In case the writers’ strike isn’t over by Oscars night on the 24th February, academy president Sid Ganis has formed a contingency plan.
Gannis stated there will be two Oscar shows:
‘The show we would love to do and … a show that we would prefer not to do’.
If the strike is over, then the Oscars will follow its usual format of glitz, glamour and thankful speeches. If not, a show consisting of, ‘history and packages of film and concepts that are not normally ones that we would have for the show if we were moving straight ahead,’ will be aired.

New Star Trek Movie Plot Details
![]()
Some significant plot information regarding the new Star Trek movie has come our way. If you read Screen Rant regularly, you’ll recall that back in October they stated that there would be Klingons in the new film. This was supposedly debunked by other sites, but lo and behold, a few days ago a slip of the lip by Anton Yelchin who plays Chekov in the Star Trek 11 apparently confirmed that Klingons will indeed appear in the film.
Well now S.R. come across some new information about the plot regarding the USS Enterprise, the timeline aspect of the film, and a whopper of a plot spoiler that’s so huge that I have decided not to reveal it.
Before I go on I want to say that I know we’re all hungry for information on Star Trek (as well as other sci-fi and fantasy movies), but I think that sometimes we can tend to get carried away and end up taking away some of the joy of seeing a movie for the first time by knowing too much about it when we finally sit down to watch it….

Marvel Studios Planning Venom Spin-Off Movie
The same day we got word from screenwriter James Vanderbilt regarding the progress of Spiderman 4, IESB have got word that a Venom stand alone film is moving forward. A number of ‘A-List’ writers have met with the studio, whoever the studio is. IESB mention that New Line previously had rights to Venom 8 years ago, which reverted back to Marvel.
However, the question is who has the rights to Venom, as Sony used the character in Spiderman 3. With the recent deal struck between Marvel and the Writer Guild Of America, it could be that Marvel have the rights. As of yet there has been no official announcement, so things are not concrete as of yet. However, it does raise a few questions. Will Topher Grace reprise his role, or will Venom be re-cast? Venom is known for being a villain, so what will the storyline be? It is rare in Hollywood that we see the film from the ‘bad guys’ point of view.
