‘Bangkok Dangerous’ New International Movie Trailer & Movie Poster

Posted by Allan Ford 2 February, 2008 (0) Comment

‘Bangkok Dangerous’ movie posterToday, we have the international trailer and movie poster for the upcoming Nicolas Cage flick, entitled “Bangkok Dangerous.” Unfortunately, it is in Spanish, but you can still check out all the action as Cage continues sporting his ridiculous “Next” haircut.

The film also goes by the name “Time to Kill,” and is about a hitman (Nicolas Cage) in Bangkok, who while pulling off a series of jobs falls for a local woman and bonds with his errand boy.

This is the second American film directed by the Pang brothers, whose “The Messengers” was release earlier this year. “Bangkok Dangerous” is actually a remake of the brothers’ own 1999 film by the same name. At this point, the remake does not carry a release date.

Iron Man

Marvel.com has released a screenshot from the Iron Man advertisement which will premiere during the Super Bowl this Sunday.

The Superbowl is not only a time for Americans to drink beer, eat their weight in salty snacks and shout impotently at the TV. It’s also a time for the big movie studios to plug their big summer projects.

Other movie related Super Bowl spots include Hancock, Don’t Mess With the Zohan, Semi-Pro (in collaboration with Budweiser), Drillbit Taylor, Wall-E and/or The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. Universal (The Incredible Hulk maybe?), Warner Bros. and Fox have also bought time during the game, but did not reveal which films would be featured.

Barbra Streisand furious over son’s Bush role

Posted by Allan Ford 2 February, 2008 (0) Comment

Barbra StreisandBarbra Streisand is reportedly furious that stepson Josh Brolin is to play the lead role in a forthcoming biopic of US President George W. Bush.

The National Enquirer claims that the singer, a staunch Democrat supporter, pleaded with Brolin not to appear in the Oliver Stone-directed film.

A source said: “Barbra thinks this movie will show a side to George W. Bush that draws sympathy from the public and she does not think Bush deserves anything positive.

“She is very passionate about politics. She’s mortified that America would think anyone in her family was right wing.”

The insider added: “Josh is not backing down. The chance to work with Oliver Stone is a tremendous break for [him].”

The No Country for Old Men star is the son of James Brolin, whom Streisand married in 1998.

Greatest American Hero filming in July!

Posted by Allan Ford 2 February, 2008 (0) Comment

Greatest American Hero symbolThey’ve been trying to get a “Greatest American Hero” up for, well, longer than Alan Tudyk’s been talking up a “Serenity” sequel. Today, we got confirmed that the film version of the classic 80s TV series is finally on track for a July start.

A casting call is being e-blasted around Tinseltown’s top agents at the moment, alerting interested parties that the film’s director, Stephen Herek (“Dead Like Me”, “The Mighty Ducks”) is in need of a Ralph Hinkley (played in the series by William Katt) and Bill Maxwell (played in the series by Robert Culp).

Penned by Chris Matheson and Ryan Rowe, “Hero” is based on the classic TV show about Ralph Hinkley, a high school teacher. He is a good, decent, likeable guy who is selected by aliens to defend the Earth against Harvey Lundy, a remarkably dislikeable high school teacher who is the representative of a group of intergalactic strip-miners. But he doesn’t have to fight Lundy alone - he’s got a superhero suit that gives him super powers.

olga-kurylenko.jpgTell us a little bit about Camille.

Olga Kurylenko: She is a strong, feisty, independent woman. She is out there on her mission, driven by revenge.

How deep is her relationship with Bond?

Kurylenko: Well in the beginning they come as opponents, but at a certain point they have to collaborate. They go through a lot of things together.

How did you get the role?

Kurylenko: First I went for general casting in Paris, then I got invited for an audition in London, then I did the final audition with Daniel [Craig]. I just worked very hard. I worked non-stop with an accent coach because I have to speak with a South American accent, as she’s from Bolivia.
