‘Pirates of the Caribbean 4′ in 2011

Since there is going to be a pirates of the caribbean 4 in 2011, I want to know what the estimated or offical theatrical release date is for pirates of the caribbean 4.

I’ve been writing a script for my own pleasure for Pirates of the Caribbean 4. That is if a script is needed. I have about thirteen scenes written already.

I have some info about pirates of the caribbean 4: the fountain of youth that the walt disney company does not know I have, and if they did know me and knew that I had it, I would in deep you know what!. If anyone reading this wants to know what the info is!, just let me know in a reply on this webpage on this website!, and then i’ll write it on this site in a reply after you ask me to tell you in your reply after this one!.

Yes of course i’ll tell you the information i have about it!, and it is……………………………………
that pirates of the caribbean 4: the fountain of youth will be released to theaters in the summer of 2011, in may, june, july or august of that year!. then it’ll be released to blu ray disc and dvd in winter 2011 or early 2012. it’ll be rated PG13, the casts of the movie will be johnny depp, geoffrey rush, and some new “already famous” actors and actresses. The directors will be gore verbinski, and geoffrey rush. The producer will be jerry bruckheimer. The writters will be ted elliot, and terry rossio. The production starting date is august 2008. Its filming status is that its in development. the genre of the movie is action, adventure, spin-off, sequel, sci-fi, and less special effects, but more visual effects!. The summery plot line is that this movie will have the pirates grouping together as one, against the new enemies ponce de leon and black beard to race against to get to the lost world known as atlantis, mean while captain jack sparrow and captain hector barbossa team up to search for the fountain of youth in florida. Much of this plot will focus mostly on captain jack sparrow. There is also a possiblity that there will be jules verne type flying fortresses used to race to get there destination to get to the fountain of youth in the lost city known as atlantis.
Future potc films are pirates of the caribbean 5 and 6.
Possible Fact: If pirates of the caribbean 4: the fountain of youth gets filmed, it will be released to theaters in summer 2011, and then will be released to blu ray disc and dvd in winter 2011. Same concept for pirates of the caribbean 5 and pirates of the caribbean 6, if they get filmed too.

I dont believe this is such a good idea to release a fourth film. I think there have been enough movies to keep the trilogy good

*erm* excuse me!!! Johnny Depp looks make him younger than his age. If you draw him and notices the face and cheek bones you will notice that his ageing will be slow than a normal person. Because of the high cheek bones and a good structure face his face won’t dtop so quickly so need to worry.

Who are these newcomers and will they kick out Orlando and Kiera because it would ruin the entire series if two of the four main characters were gone.

If pirates of the caribbean 4 the fountain of youth is finished with production by the end of 2009/beginning of 2010 then it’ll most likely end up coming out earlier in the summer of 2010 or end up being released anyway in the summer 2011, like this webpage says!. And I get this intformation of the internet for those of you who where asking me before!. And no!, i’m not friends with people who are making this movie, for who ever was asking me before, i’m just a fan of potc!, whos always searching the web about potc4 and other movies of course!. yes!, only johnny depp and geoffrey rush will be return!, it’s true!. Will and Elizabeth have to be in it. I love swashbuckling pirates, but let’s not forget its a beautiful love story too. It is the perfect balance.

They should make the 4th movie with will and elizabeth to fix the end of the 3rd movie, they made the ending really sad.I think there’s no point in making another movie without them in it

I think they should definitely make a 4th one. And I think it should focus on Jack Sparrow and Barbossa, but I think Will and Elizabeth should be in it, just not as main roles. With the ending of At World’s End, it would almost be cruel not to make another one… well maybe not cruel, but you know what I mean… : )

Well… there have already been official comments made on the actual 3rd DVD “book” about Will and Elizabeth’s story having yet to be told.. so… let’s not turn away from the real “Disney” to start believing everything we see on the “internet”
the story would not have the neccessary “balance” to it if Will and Elizabeth were not included in the storyline.. “Disney” would be a fool to leave them out… I believe that there will be a search for the fountain of youth…(Florida) Elizabeth will come along.. she needs immortality to stay with Will… (if he’s unable to get out of the “curse”) this was already hinted at in the 3rd movie… the “map” and the fact she hasn’t aged a bit during the “end” cliff(hanger)scene… What are your thoughts on that?

ok, unfortuntly Orlando wont be in any future pirate films if Jerry B has anythihg to do with it. They have had some sort of falling out and they wont be working together anymore I am afaraid. Orlando was the perfect choice for the Prince of Persia Film but its a Jerry B film and there was no way he was getting that role. SO sorry Mr. Turner fans if we get a Pirates 4 Unless something Drastic happens there will be no more Will Turner.

O.k.!, as far as I know!, johnny depp and geofffrey rush are the only actors returning!. No one else from the first three movies will be returning!. In pirates of the caribbean 4, captain jack sparrow and captain barbossa!, will go on a search for the fountain of youth wwith the round map that they had in pirates 3!, and there is also a little rumor that they may also be going on a search a pirates of the caribbean version of atlantis!!!. There is also not any disbelief that there will be new actors and atresses in this movie playing new charaters added to the story in the forth installment to the pirates of the caribbean series!!!!!!!!!!=). A release date that I think this movie will have is in either the summer of 2010!, or the summer of 2011!.

well, i personally think will and elizabeth make the movie better. without them… i dunno. it wouldnt be the same. But i dont know. It might still be good without them… but probably not. Ohh well.

I love the movie pirates of the caribbean. But not having Elizabeth or Will Turner back is just STUPID. The third movie’s real endding ended ten years after Will became captain of the flying dutchman. He came back ten years later to finally see his son and wife again. If they are thinking about not continuing that ending then there is no reason to make a fourth. No one’s gonna wanna just see Johnny Depp looking for the stupid fountain of youth. Actually!, pirates of the caribbean 4 will happen!, and jack and barbossa will be returning and will and elizabeth wont be returning!. They decided not to cotinue with it at all!, for some dumb reason!. Funny egnough i know about everything sean said and it is all true; i know it may be different without will and elizabeth but if the actors dont want to carry it on (which they don’t) they cannot force them, and you wouldnt want other people playing them either. Their son however may appear in one of the future movies…the next film is about atlantis and the fountain of youth which i think sounds very interesting….

The Fountain of Youth was meant to be in a deserted island in the Indian ocean much like the Bermuda Triangle. No one could get out of it’s place, because they were supposidly lost to Davy Jones Locker if they found it. Now, if the crew were meant to escape, it would have to be very, very unsuttle. This would mean another miraculous escape back into the real world. They may even have to kill William Turner (if I’m correct, that’s the man who is the Flying Dutchman’s Captain). If that should happen, I’m sure Elizabeth would fight against Jack & Barbossa.

The ending of PotC 3 didnt make any sense! 10 years passed and no one aged a bit. Also Jack and Barbossa would of found the fountain of youth or atlantis because of the long period of time between when Jack got the map, and the time lapse to when Elizabeth had a son. And what about Calypso? What’s the whole point of putting a godess of the sea in the movie if all the time she gets after being released is a few minutes? Shouldn’t she be a part of the next movie, helping them, or stopping them?

I totally can’t believe it!, we finally got a month and year for the release date of pirates of the caribbean 4 !, FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!=). Can you all believe it???.

Oh. I never read seans last post from June 28th. I went to the site and I am a little less skeptical now. Still not 100% sure though. Although I guess I will never be total sure untill I see previews and interviews and stuff so I guess I will just have to wait.

Number 1: A teenager with internet access does not a POTC-guru make.

Number 2: Most of the internet chatter has been from individuals with nothing but speculation and hopeful wishes to back it up

Number 3: Who says that Will and Elizabeth’s ending in POTC 3 occurred 10 years in the future? The curse is “one day on land every 10 years.” That one day could have been the day after he was cursed- he just has to wait another 10 to go back.

Reality, the freaking end of the POTC3 even said it was 10 years later! How can it not be, what the hell are you watching?

I think it’d be a good twist to keep will and elizabeth in the 4th film fountain of youth, being as will is stuck in a delicate situation….might be a way of relieving him of his obligations and bringing him and elizabeth together as they should be and throwing jack into a moral dillema….just a thought

i would just like to say that if sean’s information is true that will make my day and possibly make these next 3 years extremely awesome ^^ haha, and to everybody out there, yes it is likely that Keira and Orlando won’t be returning, and no offence to anyone, but their stories are complete, there’s not much they could do with Keira and Orlando because (1) Orlando’s character can only make port once every ten years and (2) Elizabeth will be too busy being Pirate Lord. So in the 4th film, where Jack will be going will be too far proximity for Elizabeth and Will, but they had a good run in the first trilogy but, make room for Jack =D

I agree with everyone who says that Will and Elizabeth need to be in POTC4 cuz it won’t be the same without them. However, no one can make someone do what they don’t wanna do-unless it’s a good thing then by all means, go ahead. First off mate I would never dream of bad mouthing Captain Jack Sparrow or his portraior.

Third Jack Sparrow was as big of an influence on me as Keith Richards was on him. Meaning I pretty much act in the way Jack does by that I mean I am quick to find an escape like him and I try to find things that can be used as leverage to help me out if I am in trouble. I also talk in riddles too. and try to grow similar facial hair so the day that i am to ever say anything bad about Captain Jack Sparrow is the day heck freezes over.

I think they should film 4 in St Augustine where there’s pleny of room for the trailers at the Ponce Inlet and St George Street, and the Forts are already there, saving alot of money on sets. I LOVE POTC and would be happy if they made 10 of them!

POTC4 (agreeing with Alex) would NOT be the same without Bloom and Knightley.I may only be a teenager but I know what we “teens” all want in a good movie.
4 movies is a bit too much if you do ask us but Pirates is an exception due to the BRILLIANT cast and directors and producers. Being a part of a “Disney Fanatic Family” is a blessing. But besides that. You can’t have the same cast in three movies of a “series” [I guess you could call it] and Walt Disney Pictures just only have 2 of the 4 main characters. Thats not really resonable, don’t you think? Plus after the credit in Worlds End they have the scean of elizabeth and will and “their son” [assuming he is] then a cut off. A cliff-hanger i guess you could call it.

But yes making my point POTC4 MUST have knightley and bloom or else not many people are going to want to see it. [Even though Depp is very attractive] Alot of teenage girls go not only the thrill of seeing Depp and Bloom in action together but for the adventure of the pirates movies.

No Knightley and Bloom = No $$ being made off of “teens.

Bottom Line. Of course, there should be a POTC 4; however, the writers should reconsider the script and give the fans what they want — more JACK. The last script was far too complex and, quite frankly, confusing. Had to watch it at home many times. This is perfect opportunity to give Johnny Depp some incredible acting opportunities as Jack, as well as Geoffrey Rush as that dream pirate Barbosa. Elliot and Rossio, keep it simple and funny.

After seeing the 3rd movie I definantly expect to see a 4th movie with in the next few years. The end of the third sets the 4th up perfectly. And if they are going to make a 4th it would be just plain wrong not to include Will Turner (Orlando Bloom♥) and Elizabeth Swann Turner (Keira Knightly). I know the main character is Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) and most of the focus is supposed to be on him but it just wouldn’t be the same with out the side story of Will and Elizabeths romance, not to mention their son now. I mean we would never know what happend to them. It was a perfect balance of action, comedy , and romance in the first 3 movies but without Will and Elizabeth their is no balance. Don’t get me wrong I love Jack, I just can’t imagine a Pirates of the Caribbean movie with the Turners. So if they are not included I don’t think it will be worth going to see. Thats just my opinion.

Pirates of the caribbean 4 will start production and filming in 2009 and then will finish being filmed and everything else to get it made to be released to theaters by the beginning of 2011, and then will be released to theaters in may 2011, and then will be released to dvd and blu ray disc in december 2011 !=).

Putting in my two shillings, for what its worth…I don’t have a problem with the Will and Elizabeth storyline being ended. In the world of POTC, Will has his duties as Cap’n of the Flying Dutchman, and Elizabeth is raising Jr…altho my mind does ponder if she still has duties as King of the Pirates.

Barbossa has to be in any fourth movie, tho, if only to give Jack some competition. Blackbeard, tho, as a villian? Interesting…as someone who has a family connection to the crew of the Queen Anne’s Revenge, I’d be interested to see this, altho it really screws up chronology (PoTC world must be an Alternate Universe)

Not having will and Elizabeth in it is wrong. Especially with how theings were ended we need to know whats going on. Although don’t get me wrong I do love Jack. Just saying having the same characters is what makes the movie. Having just jack is like making a spin off.

I think that will and liz (and perhaps their son) should take part in the next movie. It’s always been the three of them, and it would be a shame to change that. Although Jhonny Depp has attracted people more that orlando and kiera, then i don’t think that he alone will make such a great success. The ending in the third film (the \10 years later\ ending) doesn’t have to be the end of the will and liz characters. What if will teamed up with jack and bar. in search of the fountain, but were unsuccessful after 10 years? Maybe he then came back to get liz (and the son?) ? Or what if he tells liz about his journey, and se damands to come with him? Maybe the son can play a key-role in the search? the possebilities are many, so i guess we’ll just have to wait and see. But I trust Disney to figure out a clever way to do it.

btw, will the movie come out in 2011 or will they start filming in 2011?

I love POTC!!! I’m so exited, how do you (sean) know all this?? Did they all ready start filming?

Personally, I was thrilled and more than a little heartbroken to hear they were making a fourth Pirates movie.

It’d be great if it were as successful as the first three, but if it were to turn into another crappy Hollywood-just-wants-to-make-some-more-dough sequel *cough Shrek 3 cough* it’d take down the entire Pirates legacy, which is really devastating.

Curse of the Black Pearl was the first movie I ever saw Johnny Depp in (what a mistake THAT was – cue mega lusting spree =P) and back then I think I would have been happy to see an all-Jack movie, but now I’m not so sure.

There’s people out there who would call others non-POTC fans for not wanting to see the fourth movie, but really, what is Hollywood twisting this story into? Fans of the first movie went to see the second mainly because the first was so awesome. They saw the third because the second one was also awesome. At World’s End was, however, getting perilously close to a “Jack goes on a crazy adventure” epic.

Is the fourth movie going to be just that? By the sounds of these rumours, it is.

And what real fan would want to see that?

POTC fans can only call themselves TRUE POTC fans for enjoying every aspect of the movies. Barbossa, Will, Elizabeth… and Jack, naturally. So many of the main characters were axed in number 3 that:
a) how could they make a fourth? and, if they did,
b) would the **PLOT SPOILER WARNING** Norrington, Beckett, gov. Swann etc fans even bother to see it?

A POTC movie without two of the main characters just couldn’t be called a POTC movie. The very foundation of the POTC franchise was laid out upon Liz and Will’s love struggles combined with their antics with the rougish and uncannily lucky Jack. Without Liz and Will, it’ll just turn into a “Slightly-Odd-Jack-Goes-On-Another-Hair-Raisingly-Stupid-Adventure-And-Is-Saved-By-Some-Passing-Randoms-And-His-Own-Uncanny-Good-Luck” story.

That’s not pirates.

That’s Hollywood making money.

I don’t want to see this legendary trilogy die because some big-shots wanted to scab off POTC lovers and make another movie.

So, (and I can’t believe I’m saying this – I must be going insane, someone slap me) I think if they’re going to axe Will and Liz, they shouldn’t bother making the movie. It’d be a let’s-all-ogle-at-Johnny-Depp fest (which is actually a great idea… geez, snap out of it), it wouldn’t be a real POTC movie.

I loved all three films and i don’t think its a good idea that they cut out will and elizabeth. It wouldn’t be right.

Keira Knightlet has already announced she won’t be in any more movies so that basically cuts out Orlando Bloom also but not entirely since he’s the new Captain of the Dutchman, but the chemistry between Sparrow and Barbossa is what really made me like the film.

POTC rocks but iagree with a lot of people. The movie isn’t gonna be the same without Orlando and Kiera. And thanx a billion Sean I have been trying to find the release date for this movie forever.

Right, Pirates of the Caribbean films are the best, and have always been very enjoyable to watch. Orlando Bloom was a really good Will Turner in The Curse of the Black Pearl and Dead Man’s Chest, but I think towards the end of At World’s End Will Turner just seemed to be in it for the sake of it, and made the film have a pretty unexciting ending. I used to be obsessed with Orlando Bloom, but i reckon the time has come for Will Turner to leave, and Elizabeth Swann just seems pointless now that Will Turner cannot return to land for ten years. I think both Will and Elizabeth may aswell leave, as they don’t really do much anymore. Johnny Depp however makes Pirates of the Caribbean the amazing adventure it should be, and nobody could be Jack Sparrow but him.

However, I want to know whether the rumors of Zac Efron starring as a new Will Turner-like character true? And although I’m pretty sure its true, is Russell Brand going to play Jack Sparrows younger brother? I think that is a really good idea, I mean Russell Brand has the attitude and the voice to be a younger Jack Sparrow. I think if the cheesy High School Musical star was to be in the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean, it would completely destroy the whole thing. Zac Efron is not and never will be an actor good enough to be a pirate alongside Depp and Rush, and if he does end up starring in the next one, I will scream the cinema down.

I think making a fourth movie would be awsome for the POTC fanbase, but without Will(Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth (Keira Knightley) the fourth movie will crash and burn. Many people went to see that movie for Capt. Jack but many also kept up with it for the amazing love story between Will and Elizabeth. It had so many twists and turns that it just kept you wanting to see more of them.

I think that without them in the movie it will not do as well as the others. Maybe I’m wrong, it’s just my opinion but I do know without them in it I won’t waste my time going to see the fourth. Jack was funny in the first and second, but in the third, it seemed like a character that just said the same lines just in a different word order.

look guys, i am totally in love with these movies YOU HAVE NO FLIPPIN’ IDEA!!!! i really can’t wait for POTC 4, but to tell the truth im really not going to be happy if Will and Elizabeth aren’t in it. theres a whole nother story line to it. either Calypso has to come back and lift the curse form Will, or, as one of my friends said, Elizabeth has to kill herself at sea to be with Will, not preferrably. it would be better if she was alive. also, for all those people hatin on POTC why the hell are you on this website? as for kiera, i have no clue why she would even want to let POTC go. this movie has made for like a trillion times more famous and ALOT of money. shes an amazing actress. and hold on cuz im gonna keep on talking. I think that it is a mistake to take out orlando and keira because they made up such a big part of the first three movies. I absolutly love johnny Depp don’t get me wrong its just that it is going to be hard to make just as good of a movie without orlando and keira and that would have to change the whole storyline and that is pointless. The fact that the original director and Knightley are done with what is and forever will be one of the greatest of trilogies the world shall ever see, and with no confirmation yet as to the acceptance or decline to Bloom’s role(if there is to be a role for him in the fourth), I would say, and I do believe I speak for a lot of the other fans when I say this, that to preserve the integrity and immortality of this top notch trilogy that has undoubtedly made its stand in the category of “Best Trilogy in Movie History” alone. Leave it a trilogy so that the preservation of the pirates we know and love, shall not have damaged viewpoints from those lead by media advertising and instantly go out to buy, watch or do something simply because “It’s on the T.V.”…

I think that Johnny Depp should play Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean 4 because he was so good in the other 3. I’m wondering what Jack Sparrow’s adventure will be this time. Will he reunite with Barbossa? Will he sing Like he did in “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street”? Will his boat sink like it did in the 1st one? Will the writers get an interview with him? More importantly, will there be more Bloopers of the Caribbean?

I loved the first 3, but at the same time i am excited about the fact this will solely be on sparrow and barbossa.. the love story went full circle and is complete (yes they can come up with more but i am happy with the end of 3)

My family of six saw every Pirate movie, mostly due to the fact WIll was part of it. I will say this, I am not certain my kids will nearly as enthused to see it without the conflict/friendship between Jack Sparrow and Will Turner.
Shame Kiera [Elizabeth] doesn’t want to be in it. Because Liz will be aging and Will will not be, it makes sense she would need claim to the fountain of youth, and should team up Will and Jack to find it, son in tote. Eh, it’s ok if we don’t see ths one. I think it will lose its popularity with kids if their other hero Will Turner is absent.

SEAN—-the release date for the trailer will be released when the movie is DONE! You can’t have a trailer BEFORE the movie is made, you need clips from a completed film to make up a trailer. So the POTC 4 trailer will be out probably when it’s released, which I think will take longer than assumed 2011. More like 2012 or 2013.
However much I wish it were earlier, I’m afraid we can’t change it. Oh well! I hope they go through with it!

Pirates of the Caribbean 4 is now set to be released in may 2012. So forget what i've said before about it possibly coming out in the summer of 2010 or summer 2011, because that really wont happen!. What will happen is that it'll be filmed in 2010 and 2011, before being released to theaters in may 2012 "possibly may 25th, 2012 friday!".

uh, o.k. wow!, i see that i've gotten a whole lot of replies from some people here!. uh o.k. um, first off !, i don't work for anyone making or getting ready to make pirates 4, i just know alot of things about pirates 4, because i litterally do alot of searching on the internet every single day, to see what i can find about pirates of the caribbean 4, that's all!. Secondly, i do admitt it that i am a hardcore obsessed POTC fan so yes, i do admitt that entirely!=), and no i'm not ashamed to say so either!=).

Also, the reason i already know that pirates of the caribbean 4 is coming out on may 25th, 2012 friday, is because if you notice by searching about it on the internet, may 25th, 2012 falls on friday like it did back in 2007 which is when pirates of the caribbean at world's end came out to movie theaters on the 25th of may that year!. Another thing is no!, i do not know anyone personally from the the potc movies, i'm just a huge potc movie fan as you all have been able to see!.

I love all of the Pirates of the Caribbean films! I think it's a great idea to make a fourth film. I just hope it is done right. Disney has MURDERED their reputation as far as sequels go… They keep taking classics like The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, 101 Dalmations, Peter Pan, and making low-budget sequels with un-known actors and plot-lines that are simply lame atempts to continue a story that ended well enough in the first film! Not to mention they're hiring animators who are nothing more than ITT Tech graduates at best. So the films don't even have that "Disney" feel to their animation. Disney needs to be very careful when it comes to making sequels to well-loved films. What I'm saying here is… If I see Lindsay Lohan, Hilary Duff, an Olsen Twin, a Twilite vamp or ANY of the High School Musical kids in the fourth Pirates film… I WILL HATE DISNEY FOREVER! and you all should too. the ending of the 3rd movie WASN'T sad!….didnt u guys fast forward to after the end credits…will and elizabeth have a son….there is a clip after the end credits in all 3 potc movies.

They can't leave Will and Elizabeth's characters out. What they need to do is have Barbosa and Jack racing to get to the fountain of youth and when they find it, Elizabeth some how needs to be able to drink from it so that she can live to see Will. Will lives forever now and can only see her once every 10 years. So they need to find a way to keep her young and that's an awesome way to end it.

If Pirates of the Caribbean really decides to weigh anchor and sail in 2010, it will have to be with a new captain. According to Variety, Gore Verbinski has officially informed Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer that he's no longer interested in swashbuckling, and won't be helming a fourth installment.

"I had a fantastic time bringing Pirates to life, and I am eternally grateful to Jerry, Johnny and the rest of the creative and production team," Verbinski said. "I'm looking forward to all of us crossing paths again in the future."

Instead, he's throwing all his attention to another underwater project — his eagerly awaited adaptation of Bioshock, which is expected to be his next directing vehicle after he finishes on the Johnny Depp voiced Rango.

The fourth Pirates was being eyed for a 2010 start date, and it's not known if Verbinski's departure will affect that although it doesn't seem like Disney is racing to get into production any time soon despite all those Russell Brand rumors.

Maybe a change-up behind the scenes will breathe some new life into the series, and avoid another muddy plot like At World's End.

i think they have to make a fourth because the way they ended the third it's like there is already a fourth. Gore Verbinksi has already changed his mined and is going to direct pirates after all!. Pirates of the caribbean 4 wont go into pre production until 2010, and then will go into production "filming" in 2011, before its theatrical release to movie theaters in 2012. That is the very latest with pirates of the caribbean 4, also, ted elliott and terry rossio are writing the script as we speak on here right now!.

It wasn't actually too sad, that is, if you watch the scene after the credits and you understand the whole situation with the green flash. Orlando and Keira are pretty much definitely not going to be in the film. And as much as that saddens me, I'll still see it and love it thanks to Johnny Depp.

You cannot have a Pirates movie without Will and Elizabeth….they are the reason the other movies worked. As much as I love Depp and Rush, they will not be able to carry a movie, and live up to the other three movies.

It was left open at the end of the third, with Will and Elizabeth's son…and him coming back to see her in the 10th year….time to get Elizabeth and her son on a ship methinks.

I am almost ashamed now that I am studying to be a film director, if all movies are going to be listening to complaints of the fans. Romance? B******t romance. When people say that romance is what makes a movie, I am guessing the golden age of movies is dead. They don't pay attention to characters, to the plot, to the film, just the actors and just the love, the CHEMISTRY between those, oh just look at it……sickens me.

In case people don't listen, Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom have both said that they don't want to be in Pirates, and Disney can't change that. Give them some space. F**k off with your “no romance” complaint squeals. Listen to this and realise that your complaints wont change anything and are just p*****g off other people who want a good movie, not one that succumbs to teenage girl and boy fantasy.

I personally hope for movies that take Pirates in a good and bright direction. Don't listen to these romance fools, Disney. Do what you can to make the movie enjoyable for true fans and not those who watch them for actors.

I agree that the youngest turner should return in a pirates film. there is so much potential in his character to have a romance, or other such plots to draw fans back in. I believe that Knightley and Bloom brought wonderful presence to the films, but I think its time to give their characters a rest. Depp and Rush are deliciously funny and they would make an excellent team in a fourth film. the comedy and adventure is the reason I started watching the series, and that was the role of Depp. I can only hope that the next movie has as much thrill and dedication as the last three… it would be wonderful to see another film that is playfully funny with a twist.

I would LOVE if they made another Pirate Movie. But if you think about it. That last little after clip at the end of the movie said Ten years later. Which means Jack probably already found the Fountain of Youth. Plus Will can't really do anything about it because he can only go on land every 10 years. So just think about it. And what would they do with the kid? I hope that after clip doesn't affect the making of others

How about a dose of reality? They run into Black Beard? He, was I think one of the most notroious pirates of all time! Crazy, scary, worst of the lot! Should even make Barbossa stop and think! Will shows up later in the movie and helps take on Black Beard. Because Keira Knightley and his son are taken prisoner by Black Beard. Black Beard wants Jacks new job and the only way to do that is kill Jack!

Well duh. Do you really think that right on the back of the movie they're going to put, “And in the end Will is released of his duties and lives happily ever after.”? They don't give away the ending on the back of the movie or else nobody would even bother watching it. As for Will and Elizabeth not being in the movie, I don't really care. The only one I focused on anyway was Jack Sparrow. I'll enjoy it more without the camera constantly flashing to them. Pirates of the Caribbean 4 is expected to be released in 2011, and there is plans now to have a pirates 5 and 6 released too!, in the future, which might come out in 2015 and 2018. Disney and jerry bruckheimer are trying to prevent from have to release pirates of the caribbean movies back to back again, after the way they did so with pirates 2 and 3, releasing those two in 2006 and in 2007 !.

1. Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio who made the scripts for the first 3 movies are currently working on a script for the fourth film under the direction of Jerry Bruckheimer.
2. The story focuses more on Jack Sparrow and Barbossa but there will be some old faces and new characters as well.
3. The story will be something “fresh” and “fun”
4. Keira Knightley, as most of you already know, is not coming back.
5. Orlando Bloom was offered a role for the new movie, but turned it down and said he “wanted to to spend more time with his girlfriend”
6. I wont spoil it to you saying who the new villain will be, but i will give you a hint, it will be a very dangerous individual connected to Jack Sparrow´s past.
7. The people at disney are hoping that the the fourth movie becomes the first of a new trilogy.
8. There will be supernatural threats in this movie as in the other POTC movies.
9. The movie will focus even more with events in the caribbean then in the other movies.
10. Rob Marshall is directing.

So I really think the they NEED to have Elizabeth come back for the 4th movie with the new little turner boy. One of the things that are mentioned on that comment there, is that someone very dangerous from jack sparrows past will be involved in the fourth movie, do they mean captain nemo, or do they mean cortez???. I’m just wondering about that, and i was wondering if maybe you know the answer to that!, do you?. They do mention that name cortez in that part of the first movie when they are where the cursed treasure chest of cortez is at that cave that they go in the first movie!, do you remember that?.

The POTC movies are just really awesome, and the jack sparrow character is so iconic and extraordinary and there is a lot that can be told about the following adventures of jack sparrow, i would watch potc 4,5,6,7,8…. I just love these movies and whatever the new story is, im sure that disney will make it a really fun and cool movie, of course there is a risk that they can mess it up, but it`s minimun, i would say that there is a 30% chance that this movie can go wrong, this movie is almost a guaranteed success i can only think of 2 possible ways this movie can go wrong and they are:

1. Going along with that captain nemo jules verne nonsense.
2. Introducing jack sparrow´s brother.

If the writters of this movie decide to stay away from those really bad ideas the movie will do just fine.

I Can’t wait!!! I love romance and all, but this POTC was ment to be mostly action/adventure, so I’m glad that they are getting refocussed. I little romance is god for a sub-plot, but it takes away from Cpt. Jacks unique and awe-inspiring presence on screen. Everyone did a great job, but I liked Kiera Knightley’s role in the first movie better, because she was alittle more feminine. In the third POTC movie, I thought that Elizabeth had to much power and pressence and Cpt. Jack didn;t have enough.

I THINK THAT THE NEXT ONE WILL BE AWESOME, ESPSCIALLY IF THE FEMALE ISN’T TO WELL KNOWN…. I JUST HOPE/REQUEST THAT ON THE SOUNDTRACK, THEY INCLUDE JOHNNY DEPP SINGING THE PIRATE SONGS. Plus, there will not be any singing in the next three pirates of the caribbean movies, because they are not planning on making the next three pirates of the caribbean movies into musicals!. Actually Rose, i am sorry to have to tell you this, and i hope it does not disappoint you at all but pirates of the caribbean: on stranger tides is not coming out in november 2009 !. It is coming out on july 8th, 2011 friday!, to be exact!. I know this already because disney has already released a wide shaped teaser poster for the movie and it shows that it’s coming out in “Summer 2011″, Which if anything that would mean “July 8th, 2011 Friday”, because they wont release it in may 2011, because thats not in the summer, june, july and agust are in the summer, and they are releasing it in 2011, not 2009!. So there for, they are releasing on July 8th, 2011 friday!. They released the first two movies were released on july 9th, 2003 friday and july 7th, 2006 friday, so they will be releasing it on july 8th, 2011 friday!.

Paige, unfortunately that wont happen!. They already have officially said that they will not be returning, and their will and elizabeth characters will not be in the story of the fourth movie at all. Its better off being a jack sparrow movie or a jack sparrow and barbossa movie, because alot people are apparently tired of the whole william and elizabeth love story, that just made the previous three movies boring in the their part of the pirates of the caribbean movies that have been released so far!. Lets hope its like a captain jack sparrow and captain barbossa duo type of movie where they’re fighting off blackbeard or someone like that, something alittle more original, and where a blackbeard character would have like some kind of supernatural ability or disability or something to that simularity, if he was in it!, that would cool to see something like that, and i think that blackbeard is in the story of the book called “on stranger tides”, that is writen by the writer tim powers!.

Well, as far as i’m aware of, there is definately more fans out there, that are of the jack sparrow and barbossa duo, then there is of will and elizabeth!. And besides, jack sparow, or like the main first two chahracters, and will and elizabeth are like secondary characters in the potc movies!. Watch the one part your confused about in the movie, and then tell me what it was you did not catch from the last time you watched it!. Then you’ll probably be able to understand what happens in the part you didn’t understand or catch from previously watching it before!. Doing it that way might be able to help you!.

I have just taken a peak about any POSSIBLE news on Pirates 4, Bill Nighy, the guy that played Davy Jones, said that he just found out about Disney revealing the title and release date. He also said that there was a possibility that Pirates 4 might be on hold for a while and not filmed next year and released in 2011, but I know that THAT IS 100% NOT TRUE!
I am just saying right now that I am SICK and TIRED of these studio politics on when On Stranger Tides is going to happen or not!
But on the bright side, Bill Nighy also has stated that if the studio executives said that Davy Jones comes back for POTC 4, then he’ll be back!(in case if we have any Davy Jones fans here.)
Although in my opinion, I don’t think there is ANY possible way Davy Jones will come back to life in the POTC universe after At World’s End, but if he ever does come back, I wouldn’t mind, He’s one of my favorite POTC characters.

One thing i know for sure is that now after the D23 Expo Event that happened recently where they had announced pirates 4 with johnny depp being there dressed up as captain jack sparrow is that, The poster they has shown there that says the title of the movie and the estimated release date “Summer 2011″, might mean that pirates 4 will be coming out out “July 2011″, because summer does not start until june, and the most likely month in 2011 that they walt disney pictures company would be releasing it to theaters in would be “July”.

That was like old news, Johnny Depp said all that stuff like a week after 9/11/09, when the title and release date was announce. I was in that position to where I was really worried that Johnny Depp was not going to be in Pirates 4. But then, I looked up news that said that a Disney executive said that Johnny Depp WAS going to be in On Stranger Tides!=) Sadly, he didn’t say that Johnny Depp would be in Pirates 5 & 6. So, I’m afraid we will have to wait and see what happens sometime after POTC 4 comes out. But if it were up to me, I hope Johnny Depp will change his mind and be in Pirates 5 and 6, because, OBVIOUSLY, I am a Captain Jack Sparrow fan. Also, you said you were graduating in 2011, well, what a coincidince, me too! And with something as AWESOME as a POTC movie, yes it would be a graduating present.

Well, it would depend on how much money Pirates 4 makes. It also depends on how popular it is. That’s what all movie franchises do, if it’s latest movie makes money, and if people want more, then they make more films. That is mostly why there is a Pirates 4, Disney didn’t have movie franchises that made as much money as Pirates. And obviously, almost every POTC fan is excited about Pirates 4.
The only thing that will ruin the 4th film’s success, is if all of the people who want to see Will and Elizabeth decide NOT to see it, and ruin the franchise.
As of this point, EVERY Pirates fan needs to face it: Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann are in Pirates 1-3, but Captain Jack Sparrow is the MAIN character of the POTC franchise.
I apologise for getting off the subject, but this MUST be told!

No i totally agree with you, Will and Elizabeth were great co stars in the POTC films 1-3 but now their story is finished and we need to see more Jack Sparrow.
If people only want to see Will and Elizabeth then the POTC films were not for them, POTC is supposed to mainly be an action type movie, with a little bit of romance. not the other way around.So if they decide not to see the future POTC movies when they come out, just because Will and Elizabeth arent in it then that would ruin it for the REAL fans of POTC that wanted to see it for the action. That would probably mean no more future films which just wouldnt be fair.

Sadly, there is no OFFICIAL news Sean, but there is a possiblity. Bill Nighy(the guy that plays Davy Jones) officially stated that if there was a chance he would come back, then he will return as Davy Jones.
There was an interview with Bill Nighy that I found that came across this:
“Question: Are you hoping that you’re going to be in the new Pirates movie? I know that Geoffrey Rush is lobbying for you to be in that.
Nighy: Yeah, I hope so. I really do. I mean, I met Geoffrey the other day, and he and I were both saying – we had a wonderful time, not least, with him, because he’s such a nice man, and such a good actor. We’d love to be in it. Yeah, i think davy jones could come back and or in human form too, but when it comes with having to do with the pirates of the caribbean movies, anything is really possible, because like for example, like when barbossa came back at the end of the second movie, i never expected that to happen, so you never know what’ll end up happening in pirates of the caribbean: on stranger tides, at this point i’m expecting anything to happen, except for jack sparrow dying, because that already happend in the end of the second movie so i don’t think that the writers will try and kill him again, thats probably the only exception for when it comes to anything being possible in these movies, because the fourth movie might be the last movie anyways, but i hope that is not going to be case and i hope johnny depp comes back in pirates of the caribbean 5 and 6, if there turns out to be a pirates of the caribbean 5 and 6 after all.

Yeah, it would be AWESOME if Davy Jones came back in action in human form. That way, we know how he looks when he’s NOT in tentacle form.
And I agree with you Sean, Johnny SHOULD come back as Jack Sparrow in Pirates 5 and 6!!!!

Yea definitly! If there is a 5 or 6 film. I wonder- that might spark a rivalry against Davy Jones and sparrow. Or maybe an alliance between the two against Barbossa? idk.. just thinking out loud here…

CJS, Do you know that scene in Pirates of the Caribbea: At Worlds End where Davy Jones and Tia Delma “Calypso”, see each other inside the blackpearl, in the part of the third movie where we see the bretheren court in the shipwrek cove in pirates 3???, Well in that part of the third movie, tia delma “calypso” touches him and he becomes human only while she touches him, Did you not see that part of the third movie???. If you noticed, in the second movie, there is not a single scene where davy jones and tia delma are at the same place at the same time in any of the scenes of the second movie!!!. Interesting!, isn’t it???.

Megan, Davy Jones and Jack Sparrow, where always unfriendly with each other in the secoond and third movies!. In the first movie, barbossa was jacks enemy, but in the second movie barbossa no longer is cursed and is “of course” brought back to take jack saprrow out of davy jones locker, so in a way, i wouldn’t say that barbossa is a pirate who that is the enemy any more and plus he does not want to kill jack anymore in the second and third movie like he does try to do in the first movie, because of him being the main bad guy pirate in the first movie!.

Sorry Sean, but I knew THAT part in the movie(with Davy Jones and Tia Dalma). I was in a hurry writing my last comment, and I accidently made it sound like I have NOT seen that scene. What I meant was that we should see Davy Jones in human form for MORE than a few seconds.(You know, seeing him swordfight in human form)
I don’t know if it’s just me or not, but I just think it’s AWESOME to see the same character doing the same thing but look different. For example, seeing Davy Jones in Pirates 2 and 3 in fish and tentacle form, and the 4 movie(if he returns).
And yes, I do think it’s interesting(and coincidential) that Tia Dalma and Davy Jones aren’t in the same scenes in Pirates 2.=o
Megan, if anyone was going against someone in Pirates 4, I would say if Davy Jones came back, then it would probably be Jack and Barbossa vs Davy Jones!!=)

Yea thats true. But i thought that jack and barbossa were still after the black pearl after the end of the third movie. so thats what i was talking about them being barbossa vs jack and davy jones. but yes i see that barbossa and jack vs. davy jones is a better guess.

Although, there could be another way they could do it, like in the second movie with the three-way swordfight, which was Jack vs Will vs Norrington. But in the 4th movie make it Jack vs Barbossa vs Davy Jones, you know what I mean.

I found out that someone name ALEX WILLIAMS is going to be in On Stranger Tides. Honestly, I don’t know what to say because I have NO idea who he is.=(

Sorry, but the only thing I found was that he is some kind of Brazilian singer, and that Disney was talking to him about being one of the cast of the next Pirates.

How soon do you think it’ll be that disney.go.com’s walt disney pictures section of that website will change pirates 4’s theatrical release date from Summer 2011 to a estimated theatrical release date “month and year” , or to a full theatrical release date “month, day and year”???. Any ideas on that???.

I have NO idea, probably because of how long Disney could possibly wait until they tell us everything about it. Plus the fact that they only have about a few months until Pirates 4 starts filming in the spring time with Johnny Depp as Captain Jack and Geoffrey Rush as Barbossa!!
