New Featurette for “Death Race”

 
A new behind-the-scenes featurette for “Death Race“ has popped up online. The film stars Jason Statham, Joan Allen, Tyrese Gibson, Ian McShane, Natalie Martinez and Jason Clarke. Director Paul W.S. Anderson led the production for Universal Pictures, based on a screenplay that he co-wrote with J.F. Lawton.

Ex-con Jensen Ames (Statham) is forced by the warden of a notorious prison (Allen) to compete in our post-industrial world’s most popular sport: a car race in which inmates must brutalize and kill one another on the road to victory. A remake of 1975’s “Death Race 2000″ by director Paul Bartel and producer Roger Corman.

The film is due out August 22nd 2008.
