Johnny Depp in Alice in Wonderland, Lone Ranger, and Pirates of the Caribbean 4
Walt Disney Studios held a massive event at the Kodak Theatre in LA, during which the Studios’ chairman, Dick Cook, previewed all of Disney’s upcoming films for the next few years.
Johnny Depp was at the heart of it all.
The actor showed up on stage for a triple announcement which apparently ties him to Disney for some time. That announcement was:
- That Depp will return as Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates Of The Caribbean 4.
- That he will star as The Mad Hatter in Tim Burton’s next movie, Alice In Wonderland.
- Depp is officially signed to play Tonto in the The Lone Ranger film and not the The Lone Ranger himself.
During the event, Depp came out to “The Lone Ranger” theme song while wearing his Jack Sparrow outfit along with The Lone Ranger mask and gun.
Cook said that the studio wants to make a fourth installment in their blockbuster franchise, suggesting that another sequel is in early development.
There have been past reports of a Pirates of the Caribbean 4 but nothing concrete. One Pirates 4 rumor had Elizabeth and Will (Knightley and Bloom) being tossed aside in favor of a buddy feature centered on the search for the Fountain of Youth as Captain Jack Sparrow and Barbossa ultimately team up following a bunch of double-crossing in an effort “to defeat some supernatural terror.”
Pirates scripters Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio are behind the The Lone Ranger film with Jerry Bruckheimer producing.
Alice in Wonderland comes to the movie houses 2010, will be shot using 3-D and performance capture technology similar to that used for Beowulf.
PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 4: THE FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH WILL BE RELEASED TO DVD AND BLU RAY DISC IN DECEMBER 2011, AFTER IT’S THEATRICAL RELEASE ON EITHER MAY 20TH, 2011 FRIDAY OR MAY 27TH, 2011 FRIDAY!.
I think Robert Downey JR should be The Lone Ranger.

I just found out on ohjohnny.net, that pirates of the caribbean 4: the fountain of youth will officially be released to theaters on may 20th, 2011 friday, in 965 days, as of today september 26th, 2008 friday!. That means also, that it’ll then be released to dvd and blu ray disc in december 2011 on a tuesday before christmas of 2011 !!!=).
Comingsoon.net has officially confirmed as of today, that pirates of the caribbean 4 is indeed going to be released to theaters on may 20th, 2011 friday!. That kinda makes think that if thats the case for pirates 4, then it’ll be released to dvd and blu ray disc on december 6th, 2011 tuesday!=).

i don’t think this movie will make as much $$$ if Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom aren’t in it. Whoever the casting director is and if you are reading this, try to persuade them or else the millions of dollars you spend making this movie will go to waste. no offense.
ya gotta have kiera and orlando in the movie i mean johnny was supposedly in love with kiera and she had orlando’s kid so there has to be some sort of conflict within these characters… so persuade them to be in it
OH YOU GOTTA make a pirates four! PLEASE…. Jerry:( This is the BEST movie ever because it has everything action adventure, comedy, tragedy, love, scary, the actors, adventure, action, music you didn’t miss a thing! I love this movie so much I can watch it over and over, I have the music soundtracks ( I usually don’t like music soundtracks unless it’s classical but these I LOVE!), I am obsessed with pirates now, and I wish this movie collection would never end. You have to have Kiera Knightly and Orlando Bloom they are the romantic part of the movie. You should continue it with Will as captain of the Dutchman, Elizabeth where he last left her, and their child just like the youtube trailers. Whatever you do though DON\T BACK OFF ON THIS AMAZING MOVIE! DON\T LET THEM JOHNY DEPP I KNOW YOU LOVE THIS MOVIE AND YOUR ROLE AS CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW JUST AS MUCH AS I DO! THIS MOVIE ROCKS!
If every actor doesn’t return then there is no point in making this film. Seriously how selfish can they be to not return? There’s no way they didn’t have a blast making these movie’s.
You need all the characters! how can you just cut out 2 main roles like that, like they never happened? Jack sparrow surely wouldn’t just forget about them for the rest of his adventurous days! I need my happy ending with them, I don’t like that will is going to remain youthful only seeing his family every 10 years they would get old so fast! Its too tragic for Disney! I need my happy ending:)
Remember that there’s a ten year gap. The fountain of youth thing will probably take place before Will Turner meets his son at the end of POTC3.
Knightley and Bloom will return in Pirates of the Caribbean 5!
Knightley has already stated that she wont do any more POTC. So stop telling Disney that they have to cast them. You can’t make people do something that is out of their hands. How about you go to Keira and Orlando and tell them that they need to be in the new movie.

Orlando and Keira didn’t seem to be all into the last movie, like they were in the first one. I personaly think Geoffery (sp?) Rush is the far better actor than either of them. As long as hes in, I’m in!!

Actually no it would be terrible, because the pirates of the caribbean movies should of only have about jack sparrow and barbossa and other pirates like them, not people who turn them selves into pirates like will and elizabeth, and unlike jack sparrow and barbossa who that were already pirates!.
