Funny New “Fanboys” Poster

Posted by Allan Ford 31 October, 2008 (0) Comment

Another poster for the upcoming “Fanboys” movie has just debuted over at Cinematical, showing a fan wearing a Darth Vader helmet.

In the movie, a group of friends who are avid Star Wars fans travel west to see the Holly Grail of all sci-fi movies, “Star Wars: Episode I.” The year is 1999 and for these death star dorks, the Star Wars films are more than just movies; they are a way of life. So, after one of the group takes sick it is nothing short of a moral imperative that the friends break into George Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch to watch the seminal sci-fi picture together before its release. Enlisting the help of an estranged friend, who has traded in his Darth Vader mask for a proper day job, the adventure lays way to some extremely funny situations, including an outrageous brawl with some hard-core Trekkies.

“Fanboys” directed by Kyle Newman, stars Dan Fogler, Jay Baruchel, Kristen Bell, Chris Marquette and Sam Huntington. The Weinstein Company originally scheduled Fanboys for release a few years back but kept delaying it due to test screening complaints and other issues. It looks like the flick will finally hit theaters February 6, 2009. Continue Reading…

Posted by Allan Ford 31 October, 2008 (0) Comment

The final trailer and international poster for director Bryan Singer’s upcoming historical thriller “Valkyrie” is now online showing scenes about a daring plan to kill Adolph Hitler.

Tom Cruise heads an international cast as Col. Claus von Stauffenberg, the aristocratic German officer who led the heroic attempt to bring down the Nazi regime and end the war by planting a bomb in Hitler’s bunker. The “July 20 Plot” on Hitler’s life is one of the most heroic but least known episodes of World War Two. Severely wounded in combat, Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg returns from Africa to join the German Resistance and help create Operation Valkyrie, the complex plan that will allow a shadow government to replace Hitler’s once he is dead. But fate and circumstance conspire to thrust Stauffenberg from one of many in the plot to a double-edged central role. Not only must he lead the coup and seize control of his nation’s government… He must kill Hitler himself.

“Valkyrie” opens to theaters on December 26th. Continue Reading…

In a country in the grips of evil, in a police state where every move is being watched, in a world where justice and honor have been subverted, a group of men hidden inside the highest reaches of power decide to take action. Tom Cruise stars in the suspense film, VALKYRIE, based on the true story of Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg (CRUISE) and the daring and ingenious plot to eliminate one of the most evil tyrants the world has ever known.
