Gwyneth Paltrow’s Two Lovers Second Trailer

The second trailer for the romance/drama “Two Lovers,” starring Joaquin Phoenix, Gwyneth Paltrow and Vinessa Shaw has been released.

Phoenix reunites for the third time with director James Gray. The two have collaborated on “The Yards” and “We Own the Night.”

“Two Lovers” is a romantic drama set in New York City. It tells the story of Leonard (Joaquin Phoenix), an attractive but depressed young man who moves back in with his parents following a recent heartbreak. An aspiring photographer, Leonard works part-time at his father’s dry-cleaners. His concerned parents try to set him up with Sandra (Vinessa Shaw), the sweet and caring daughter of a close family friend. A big family dinner serves as their introduction and Leonard arranges to see her again.

Then late one night Leonard looks out his bedroom window and notices a ravishing young woman he’s never seen before. Michelle (Gwyneth Paltrow) recently moved into an apartment in his family’s building – an apartment paid for by the wealthy married man she’s seeing.

“Two Lovers” will hit the theaters on January 9th, 2009.

Red Band trailer for Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor directed “Crank 2: High Voltage” has been released.

The indestructible hopped-up hitman Chev Chelios, played to the hilt once again by Jason Statham, returns in “Crank 2: High Voltage”, picking up where the first film left off — except this time, Chelios is chasing a Chinese gangster who hijacked his heart and substituted it with a mechanical one that needs to be jolted with an electric charge to stay pumping.

Amy Smart, Dwight Yoakam will reprise their roles from the original.

Watchmen New Featurette

We are not sure if we’ll see Zack Snyder’s Watchmen” on time or not, but the new featurette for the movie is here. Take a look.

“Watchmen” is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the “Doomsday Clock” – which charts the USA’s tension with the Soviet Union – is permanently set at five minutes to midnight. When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed-up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes…

“Watchmen” stars Patrick Wilson, Jackie Earle Haley, Matthew Goode, Billy Crudup, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Malin Akerman, Carla Gugino, Stephen McHattie and Matt Frewer.

“Underworld: Rise of the Lycans” TV Spot

Take a look at an TV spot for “Underworld: Rise of the Lycans.

The film traces the origins of the centuries-old blood feud between the aristocratic vampires known as Death Dealers and their onetime slaves, the Lycans. In the Dark Ages, a young Lycan named Lucian (Michael Sheen)emerges as a powerful leader who rallies the werewolves to rise up against Viktor (Bill Nighy), the cruel vampire king who has enslaved them. Lucian is joined by his secret lover, Sonja (Rhona Mitra), in his battle against the Death Dealer army and his struggle for Lycan freedom.

Directed by Patrick Tatopoulos “Underworld: Rise of the Lycans” which stars Rhona Mitra, Bill Nighy, Michael Sheen, Shane Brolly, Steven Mackintosh and Kevin Grevioux will be released on January 23, 2009.

The Japanese “Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li” Trailer

Action-Packed first Japanese trailer for “Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li” has hit that country’s official website.

Kristin Kreuk and Chris Klein spoke to Sci-Fi Wire during the Video Game Awards about the upcoming “Street Fighter” film and the characters they are playing.

“It’s about the character Chun-Li,” said Kreuk. “It’s her origin story from when she was a little girl. She loses both of her parents. Her father is taken away. She doesn’t know that, and she goes on a revenge journey and then eventually finds a teacher, a master to help her overcome her emotional attachments to getting her revenge so that she can actually see a greater good, and then go forth and fight from there.”

For his part, Klein plays Charlie Nash, a rogue Interpol agent. “[He's] an American,” Klein said. “Chasing after the villain in our movie, Bison, played by Neal McDonough. Kristin’s character, Chun-Li, and I discover we’re after the same bad guy. So we team up a little bit, and heroic adventures ensue.”

Street Fighter” is directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak, the man behind some terrible movies like “Romeo Must Die,” “Exit Wounds,” “Cradle 2 the Grave” and “Doom.” The film is scheduled to hit theaters on February 27th, 2009.
