2009 MTV Movie Awards Winners

2009 MTV Movie Awards Twilight, the popular vampire drama based on the best-selling novel of the same title by Stephenie Meyer,cleaned up during the ceremony, taking home five out of the seven nominations including the top honor, Best Film prize in Los Angeles. Other winners include “High School Musical 3”, “Yes Man”, “The Dark Knight” and “Baby Mama”. “High School Musical 3” brought home two kudos for Best Male Performance and Breakthrough Performance Female, while the others took in one each. “Yes Man” gave Jim Carrey a Best Comedic Performance win, “The Dark Knight” won Best Villain for Heath Ledger and “Baby Mama” earned Amy Poehler her Best WTF Moment. The MTV audience was treated to exclusive first looks at the highly anticipated movie releases of 2009 including “The Twilight Saga: New Moon“, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince“, “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen“, “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” and “Public Enemies.” The 2009 MTV Movie Awards was aired live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California starting at 9 P.M. ET on Sunday, May 31. Hosted by Saturday Night Live” star Andy Samberg, it saw musical performances from Kings of Leon and Eminem. Presenters of the night were Chris Pine, Sacha Baron Cohen, Kiefer Sutherland, LeAnn Rimes and Anna Faris among others. MTV Movie Awards | Sacha Baron Cohen and Zac Efron MTV Movie Awards | Sacha Baron Cohen and Zac Efron The show’s most jaw-dropping moment came when bare-bottomed British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, dressed as a giant dove and in character as Bruno, fell from the roof of the Universal Amphitheater onto rapper Eminem’s lap. The prank appeared not to be a joke — and the rapper stormed off with his entourage in tow:
