Charlize Theron has been attached to “The Tourist” for a long time but she has left the movie and Angelina Jolie is in talks to replace her in the spy thriller.

Not only has Theron dropped from the production, but now Spyglass Entertainment producers are also looking for a new director as Bharat Nalluri (Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day) is off the project.

French movie “Anthony Zimmer” the original was about an innocent traveler caught up in an international operation to bring in a global criminal. The stunning girlfriend of a thief that underwent extensive plastic surgery to conceal his identity, and authorities are following her in hopes she leads them to their mystery man.

Remake script is written by Julian Fellows, Bill Wheeler and Chris McQuarrie.
