‘Quantum of Solace’ Has Officially Signed in Bollywood Star?

The upcoming James Bond movie will see a Bollywood actress as one of its cast. According to Mi6 News, Shilpa Shetty has been signed to tackle a yet-unannounced role in “Quantum of Solace”.Last August, the 32-year-old Bollywood star was rumored to be the prime candidate to be a Bond girl. As of at the moment, it wasn’t known what character Shetty will be playing. However, Mi6 News noted down that her character will be a minor one. Cinematical speculated that the actress might get a cameo appearance, like Madonna in “Die Another Day” or Christina Cole, who depicted Ocean Club Receptionist in “Casino Royale”.

Shetty struck success in the U.K. after she became the winner of United Kingdom reality television “Celebrity Big Brother”. The actress who is also known for her work as a model earlier made headlines after she was kissed on the cheek several times by actor Richard Gere during an AIDS-awareness event.

Paramount revealed via IndianaJones.com that the official first teaser for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will debut on February 14th.The teaser will make its official debut on ABC’s Good Morning America between 8 and 9 a.m., and will then immediately be up online at the official site above and on Yahoo! Movies.

Ellen Page Signs On For ‘Drag Me to Hell’

Sam Raimi has directed a couple of horror movies in the past such as Evil Dead 1 and 2, The Gift and Army Of Darkness and now he is set to direct Drag Me to Hell. Raimi will be returning to the horror genre after spending the last few years directing a small trilogy known as Spiderman. Oscar nominated actress Ellen Page has joined to lead the cast, according to Variety. Ellen has recently stared in Juno and played Kitty Pryde (Shadowcat) in X-Men 3.

The film is described as ‘a morality tale about the unwitting recipient of a supernatural curse’, which I am guessing is Ellen Page. To see Ellen in a horror movie is going to be interesting. We know she can do comedy, drama and action but we haven’t seen that lovely face of hers shriek in fear, and who else better to do that with than Sam Raimi?

Filming will begin in Los Angeles in March.

Pfeiffer in talks to star in ‘Cheri’

Michelle Pfeiffer looks set to re-team with her “Dangerous Liaisons” director Stephen Frears for “Cheri,” an adaptation of the 1920s novel by French author Colette about the lingering effects of a romance between a middle-aged woman and a wealthy young man.

Colette set her book in 1920s Paris, where the young son of a wealthy courtesan is educated in the ways of love by a middle-aged friend of the man’s mother. When he is forced to give up the six-year relationship after marrying someone else, the young man can’t forget her and retreats into a fantasy world.

Pfeiffer is in final negotiations.

‘Jaws’ Star Roy Scheider Has Died At The Age Of 75.

The actor, Roy Scheider, passed away yesterday in hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.

He is believed to have died from complications from a staph infection after being treated for multiple myeloma, a cancer of the plasma cells, for the past two years.

Scheider was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for 1971 movie The French Connection and Best Actor for 1979’s All That Jazz.

However, he was most famous for his role as Police Chief Martin Brody in Steven Spielberg’s 1975 film Jaws, the first to earn $100m at the box office.

Co-star Richard Dreyfuss told the BBC: “He was a wonderful guy. He was what I call a knockaround actor. A knockaround actor to me is a compliment that means a professional that lives the life of a professional actor and doesn’t yell and scream at the fates and does his job and does it as well as he can.”

Scheider is survived by second wife Brenda Seimer and three children.
