Robert Redford has joined Wim Wenders‘ another 3D project, ‘Cathedrals of Culture‘, an ambitious omnibus documentary series of six films, each by a different director. Redford, who has been earning rave reviews in Cannes this week for his performance as the abandoned sailor in All Is Lost, will direct the second part of the series dedicated to the Salk Institute in La Jolla, California, a building by architect Louis Kahn.

The first trailer for Joshua Oppenheimer‘s The Act of Killing, produced by Werner Herzog and Errol Morris has now landed today. The most upsetting and politically charged documentary that was featured at the 2013 SXSW Film Festival in Austin, The Act of Killing focuses on executioners from 1965-66 Indonesia who were allowed to murder practically anyone they wanted, and are still treated as heroes today.
