DIVERGENT

Can Divergent succeed in being a blockbuster like Twilight and The Hunger Games? One thing that makes Divergent a contender with Hunger Games and Twilight is its book sales, which is on track to meet the same sales numbers of the first books of those book series. Next, it’s got a solid leading lady in The Descendants star Shailene Woodley and finally, Summit Entertainment only just began production on the YA adaptation, but are starting the marketing now, dropping the first image of the movie on EW.

Whish I Was Here - Fantasy-Forest Sequence

Garden State filmmaker and former Scrubs star Zach Braff is ready to make his sophomore directorial effort Wish I Was Here, but he needs $2 million, and he decided to go the Kickstarter route for complete control. Unlike Veronica Mars movie that Warner Bros. will distribute, Braff’s Kickstarter is 100% independent with no studio involved.

Yesterday we learned that Shia LaBeouf was plotting a good old fashioned spy movie with Robert De Niro and today another dream team looks to become reality. Earlier this month, Brad Pitt took the lead role of an army sergeant named ‘Wardaddy’ in David Ayer-directed World War II drama Fury and now comes word that LaBeouf is in talks to co-star.

Director Bryan Singer has tweeted a behind the scenes look at Halle Berry as the weather controlling mutant Storm in X-Men: Days of Future Past. Berry, who is pregnant with her second child, will be reprising one of her most iconic roles in the upcoming Marvel epic.
