BERLINALE 2013: Watch Trailer for Documentary GMO OMG on Corporate Takeover of Seeds

GMO OMG Today in the United States, by the simple act of feeding ourselves, we unwittingly participate in the largest experiment ever conducted on human beings. OMG! Actually, it’s – GMO OMG, Jeremy Seifert‘s latest documentary film about food premiered at Berlinale 2013. Definitely something worth your full attention so make sure you check out the first trailer for the movie in the rest of this report! So, here’s one simple question: who controls the future of our food? Let’s hope that Seifert’s documentary will give an answer. Or, at least – start a discussions. Anyway, it explores the systematic corporate takeover and potential loss of humanity’s most precious and ancient inheritance: seeds. Here’s the rest of the story: Director Jeremy Seifert investigates how loss of seed diversity and corresponding laboratory assisted genetic alteration of food affects his young children, the health of our planet, and freedom of choice everywhere. GMO OMG follows one family’s struggle to live and eat without participating in an unhealthy, unjust, and destructive food system. In GMO OMG, the encroaching darkness of unknown health and environmental risks, chemical toxins, and food monopoly meets with the light of a growing global movement to take back what we have lost. Has the global food system been irrevocably hijacked? Is there still time to reclaim its purity, protect biodiversity and save ourselves?
