Yeah, yeah, I’m sure you’re already familiar with this project, but still – we’re here for a little Antiviral video – update!

This looks more like a commercial for some creepy home-made hospital, but what the hell – we’re dealing with Brandon Cronenberg‘s debut feature project and it definitely deserves our full attention!

So, anyone scared of needles?

Not Syd March, played by Caleb Landry Jones, who is an employee at a clinic that sells injections of live viruses harvested from sick celebrities to obsessed fans. He also supplies illegal samples of these viruses to piracy groups, smuggling them from the clinic in his own body.

But, when he becomes infected with the disease that kills super sensation Hannah Geist, Syd becomes a target for collectors and rabid fans. He must unravel the mystery surrounding her death before he suffers the same fate.

Beside Landry Jones, this movie also stars Sarah Gadon, Malcolm McDowell, Douglas Smith, Joe Pingue and Nicholas Campbell.

At the end, let us also mention that Antiviral debuted at the Cannes Film Festival, in the Un Certain Regard competition for emerging directors.

We definitely hope to hear news about Antiviral release date soon.

Let us know what you think, and stay tuned!
