Another ‘Indiana Jones 4′ Movie Still
Another day, another picture of Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones and that Shia kid as his kid, this time fighting Russian soldiers in a moving car while Karen Allen drives them through a jungle-esque terrain. And hey, according to this EW.com article that posted the image, Shia’s name in the movie is “Mutt”. I’m guessing that’s a term of endearment. Or maybe Indy hates his son. Who knows. Find out May 22 when the movie opens.
Cusco, Peru Location Cancelled For ‘Quantum of Solace’
“Quantum of Solace” producers have decided not to film at the famed Inca Citadel of Cusco in Peru because of unpredictable weather conditions.
“They aren’t going to film anymore because special film conditions, which don’t exist anymore, were required. The suspension is mainly due to climatic changes.” said Margarita Morales from Iguana Productions (Peru).
Morales added local protests or conflicts taking place in the region did not play a role in the decision to cancel the location:
‘The filmmakers are on a tight schedule and they could not risk it raining, like it’s doing so now. It wasn’t because of the strike, at least that’s not what the production team has said.”
The production itself is continuing apace and about to finish up its several week stint in Panama which has been doubling for Bolivia in the film.
The cast and crew, Daniel Craig, Olga Kurylenko and Mathieu Amalric, will arrive in Chile on March 23rd to film more scenes.

Michelle Rodriguez Again in ‘Fast and Furious 4′
Michelle Rodriguez will be reprising her role of Letty in the fourth installment of the “The Fast and the Furious 4″.
Actress’ co-star Paul Walker told about the return of Rodrigues at the premiere of “Never Back Down” in Los Angeles on March 4 when he was asked whether he will be back for the fourth film.
Apart from confirming his and Rodriguez’s return, Walker also revealed that Vin Diesel and Jordana Brewster will also reprise their characters. On the occasion, he also confessed that he is persuading Tyrese Gibson to join the cast once more.
Jason Reitman ‘Juno’ Director Teaming Up With Jim Carrey for New Comedy
The director of the drama comedy “Juno” Jason Reitman is said to be handling a new comedy project and this time, he will be working together with comic genius Jim Carrey.
According to Hollywood Reporter, Reitman has come aboard “Pierre Pierre” as the co-producer, while Carrey will topline the Fox Atomic’s movie.
In the producer seat, Reitman will be assisted by his Hard C partner Dan Dubiecki as well as Escape Artists’ Todd Black and Jason Blumenthal.
It was reported that the “Thank You for Smoking” director is also attached to be director of the film that resolves around a self-indulgent French nihilist who is delegated to bring back a stolen Mona Lisa, while he is in the process of cherishing his native country once again.
Spin-Off of ‘The Mummy’ to Be Developed
Though the third installment of “The Mummy” franchise “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor” has yet to hit the theaters, the talks about the film’s spin-off have hit the web.
Rob Cohen, “The Mummy 3″ director is considering to make a spin-off series from the character of Alex O’Connell who is played by Australian actor Luke Ford.
On Wednesday, March 5, the director expressed his hopes stating:
“We may spin off into a complete father-son direction with Brendan, but by getting an actor who is in his 20s and not a teenager, we can also put the future on his shoulders.”
‘Ghost’ & ‘Dirty Dancing’ Star Patrick Swayze Has Pancreatic Cancer
U.S. famous actor Patrick Swayze, best know for his role in “Ghost,” has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, according to a statement made by his publicist on Wednesday. “Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far,” his physician, Dr. George Fisher, stated. “All of the reports stating the time frame of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue.”
However, pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest of all tumors and only 4 percent of patients are alive after five years.Swayze’s mother Patsy has also confirmed his son has cancer, but believes her son has a fighting chance against the disease.
“I don’t really want to talk about it, but I know he’s sick,” Swayze’s mother said. “But he has great doctors and a great prognosis and that’s all I can say.”
Swayze, 55, was diagnosed in late January and has been flying his private Beechcraft aeroplane to Stanford University’s highly-respected cancer centre in Palo Alto, California, for radical chemotherapy. Continue Reading…
Joan Cusack And John Goodman Join ‘Shopaholic’
Joan Cusack and John Goodman have signed to join Isla Fisher on Touchstone Pictures’ comedy “Confessions of a Shopaholic.” Hugh Darcy and Krysten Ritter will also appear in the film.Variety reports the film is an adaptation of Sophie Kinsella’s bestselling novel. P.J. Hogan is set to direct the film with Jerry Bruckheimer producing. The film is scheduled to shoot in New York and Connecticut. Goodman and Cusack have signed to play the parents of Fisher’s character.
The film’s story follows a woman dealing with the stress of credit card debt while working in the New York magazine world.
Van Damme Turned Down New ‘Fighter’ ?
Jean-Claude Van Damme has claimed that he turned down the chance to appear in the new Street Fighter movie.Doom director Andrzej Batkowiak is currently working on a big-screen adaptation of the popular computer game series, but Van Damme, who played lead character Guile in the 1994 version, will not appear in the film.
Speaking to MTV Movies, Van Damme said: “In fact they called me for that movie, to do the sequel. I would have been well paid but I didn’t want to do it.
“I’ve made enough money. I don’t want to make a movie and then come home and be unhappy about it. Life is short. I’m 47 years old.
“I’ve got ten years to go where I can be the best I can be. I want those ten years to be precious, not like before, cranking two or three movies a year.
“I just want to do something I’m proud of. It’s time for me to change. I could sign with a company for ten movies and I’m the king of video and so what?”
