Fox Searchlight has released the first poster for Darren Aronofsky‘s new film Black Swan, starring Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis and Vincent Cassel.
The dark tale with psychological twists stars Portman as Nina, a technically brilliant ballerina whose life takes some strange turns after being picked as the lead in a New York City production of Swan Lake. Pressures mount as her overbearing mother (Barbara Hershey) pushes her to succeed and her manipulative dance master (Vincent Cassel) commands her to be more seductive and loose in her performance. Complicating matters is the arrival of Lily (Kunis), a sultry dancer who exhibits all the innate ease and sexuality that Nina lacks. Nina begins to fixate on the newcomer as the two forge an unusual relationship.

Empire has just premiered a new international poster for the upcoming Ben Affleck‘s upcoming crime / drama movie The Town.
Affleck stars alongside Jeremy Renner, John Hamm, Blake Lively, Chris Cooper and Rebecca Hall for a drama centred on bank robbery.

Magnolia Pictures has released the first trailer for the documentary adaptation of the bestselling nonfiction book series Freakonomics.The trailer is headed up by a supergroup of documentary filmmakers including Alex Gibney (Taxi to the Dark Side, Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room), Rachel Grady and Heidi Ewing (Jesus Camp), Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me), Eugene Jarecki (Why We Fight), Seth Gordon (The King of Kong).
Alex Gibney delivers a visually arresting look at the crumbling façade of Sumo wrestling and exposes searing and violent truths about this ancient and revered sport. Touchstone Pictures has debuted the first poster for the upcoming The Tempest movie, based on William Shakespeare’s play.
The film tells the tale of the Duchess Proaperas’ banishment to a “primitive” Island with her young daughter where she is forced to master the elements of nature and magic. Prospera plots to return her Daughter to her rightful place and wreak revenge on those responsible for her downfall. When the opportunity arises she calls forth a powerful storm (Tempest) to bring her betraying brother and all the key players in her usurping to the Island where she will have a decidedly “home court” advantage.
