Summit Entertainment has released the trailer for “Remember Me,” their next Robert Pattinson film following up on this weekend’s release of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon.”

Pattinson plays Tyler, a rebellious young man in New York City who has a strained relationship with his father (Pierce Brosnan). Tyler didn’t think anyone could possibly understand what he was going through until the day he met Ally (Emilie de Ravin) through an unusual twist of fate. But soon, hidden secrets are revealed, and the circumstances that brought them together slowly threaten to tear them apart.

The film also stars Chris Cooper (Adaptation) and Oscar nominee Lena Olin (Chocolat).

“Remember Me” is directed by Allen Coulter (Hollywoodland) and is scheduled to hit theaters on March 12th, 2010.

The movie centers on Derek “The Tooth Fairy” Thompson, a hard-charging minor league hockey player whose nickname comes from his habit of separating opposing players from their bicuspids. When Derek discourages a youngster’s hopes, he’s sentenced to one week’s hard labor as a real tooth fairy, complete with the requisite tutu, wings and magic wand. At first, Derek “can’t handle the tooth” – bumbling and stumbling as he tries to furtively wing his way through strangers’ homes…doing what tooth fairies do. But as Derek slowly adapts to his new position, he begins to rediscover his own forgotten dreams.

The Tooth Fairy co-stars Ashley Judd, Julie Andrews, Billy Crystal, and a little cameo by professional skateboarder, Ryan Sheckler.

The new 20th Century Fox movie is directed by Michael Lembeck (Santa Clause).

“Tooth Fairy” is scheduled to hit theaters on January 22nd, 2010.

The poster and trailer for the upcoming drama “The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond” have appeared online.

“The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond” is based on a recently rediscovered original screenplay by legendary writer Tennessee Williams (”A Streetcar Named Desire”, “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof”). Starring Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Evans, the Paladin release will open in New York and Los Angeles in late December, with expansion to major markets following in early 2010. Academy Award-winner Ellen Burstyn, Academy Award-nominee Ann-Margret, Mamie Gummer, and Will Patton co-star in the film which was directed by award-winning short filmmaker and stage and screen actress Jodie Markell, in her feature debut.

Widely considered the most important American playwright of the post-WWII, era, Williams wrote the  “Teardrop Diamond” screenplay at the height of his late-1950’s heyday, amid such classic plays, (which themselves were adapted into classic films), as “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,” “Suddenly, Last Summer,” “Sweet Bird of Youth,” and “Orpheus Descending.”

Set in the Roaring Twenties in Williams’ (and Markell’s) home town of Memphis, the film tells the story of Fisher Willow (Howard) a headstrong young heiress who chafes under the constraints of proper Southern society, and who rebels by asking the impoverished but handsome son of her father’s caretaker, Jimmy Dobyne (Evans), to escort her to the major social events of the season. The relationship is purely a business arrangement at the outset, with Fisher paying for Jimmy’s time and attention, but when she discovers that she really loves him, she finds it impossible to re-write the rules and earn the affection she tried to buy. Howard’s ability to evoke the dueling strength and fragility of this quintessential Williams heroine, along with her stunning mastery of his lush, poetic language, firmly establish her as one of the best actresses of her generation, and place her Fisher Willow in a pantheon of performances that includes Vivien Leigh’s Blanche DuBois, Elizabeth Taylor’s Maggie the Cat, Anna Magnani’s Serafina delle Rose, and Geraldine Page’s Alexandra Del Lago.

A brand new TV spot and quad poster for Lionsgates “Daybreakers” have been released.

Two-time Academy Award nominee Ethan Hawke plays Edward Dalton, a researcher in the year 2019, in which an unknown plague has transformed the world’s population into vampires. As the human population nears extinction, vampires must capture and farm every remaining human, or find a blood substitute before time runs out.

However, a covert group of vampires makes a remarkable discovery, one which has the power to save the human race.

The film is directed by Peter Spierig and Michael Spierig (Undead), also stars Sam Neill (Jurassic Park, Perfect Strangers), Isabel Lucas (Transformers 2), Christopher Kirby, Michael Dorman, Vince Colosimo and will hit theaters on January 8th, 2010.

Jeff Bridges (Bad Blake),  “Crazy Heart” Photo

“Crazy Heart” plot: Bridges plays Bad Blake, a broken-down, hard-living country music singer who’s had way too many marriages, far too many years on the road and one too many drinks way too many times. And yet, Bad can’t help but reach for salvation with the help of Jean (Maggie Gyllenhaal), a journalist who discovers the real man behind the musician. Gyllenhaal is being campaigned in the lead actress category, though it’s likely Bridges (and the film’s original music by T-Bone Burnett) are the film’s more reasonable shots at Oscar contention. Bridges has even been catapulted to most prognosticator’s winner predictions.

Adapted from a book written by Thomas Cobb, the film is both written and directed by actor/filmmaker Scott Cooper and is making his directorial debut with this film. Also stars Robert Duvall and Colin Farrell.

Fox Searchlight will be bringing “Crazy Heart” to limited theaters starting on December 16th. 2009.

The second trailer for the upcoming “Alvin and the Chipmunks 2: The Squeakquel” has appeared online, featuring lots of footage from the new movie.

Now in the care of Dave Seville’s nephew (Zachary Levi), Alvin, Simon and Theodore take a break from pop-music stardom and return to school. Almost immediately, the tiny tunesmiths are given the giant task of saving their school’s music program by winning a battle of the band’s contest. Though the boys think winning the contest will be easy, romantic and musical sparks fly when they meet Brittany, Eleanor and Jeannette — also known as The Chipettes.

Betty Thomas (Doctor Dolittle, John Tucker Must Die) is directing “Alvin and The Chipmunks: The Squeakuel”. Starring Jason Lee, and the altered voices of Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler, Jesse McCartney, Anna Faris, Christina Applegate and Amy Poehler.

“Brothers” Plot: Sam (Tobey Maguire) is a family man who is about to embark on his fourth tour of duty. His brother, Tommy (Gyllenhaal), however, is the black sheep of the family and a drifter just out of jail. When Sam’s Black Hawk helicopter is shot down in the mountains of Afghanistan, this steadfast marine is presumed dead. This places Tommy in the position to be responsible of Sam’s wife, Grace (Natalie Portman), and two young daughters, which leads to an unexpected attraction between Tommy and Grace.

While the two are still dealing with the intricate situation, Sam returns home. Carrying the heavy weight of post traumatic stress disorder, he starts suspecting that something happened between his wife and brother when he was away.

Directed by six-time Oscar nominee Jim Sheridan (”In America,” “My Left Foot,” “In the Name of the Father,” “The Boxer,” “Get Rich or Die Tryin”), “Brothers” tells the compelling tale of how two brothers come to terms with issues of love, loyalty, and manhood—and with the woman caught between them.

“Nine” tells the story of Guido Contini (Daniel Day-Lewis), a world famous film director as he confronts an epic mid-life crisis with both creative and personal problems. He must balance the many women of his life, including his wife Luisa (Marion Cotillard), his sexy mistress Carla (Penelope Cruz), his film star muse Claudia Jenssen (Nicole Kidman), his confidant and costume designer Lilli (Judi Dench), an American fashion journalist Stephanie (Kate Hudson), the girl from his youth Saraghina (Stacy Ferguson – Fergie) and his mother (Sophia Loren).

Marshall’s musical is based on the “8 1/2″ movie written by Federico Fellini and Ennio Flaiano. The screenplay for “Nine” was written by late Anthony Minghella and Michael Tolkin.

The original 1982 Broadway production of “Nine,” nominated for twelve Tony Awards and winning five, including Best Musical, was directed by Tommy Tune.

The 2003 Broadway revival of “Nine” received eight Tony Award nominations and won two, including Best Revival of a Musical.

Both, the Broadway musical and the movie are adaptation of the book written by Arthur L. Kopit.

The movie which also stars Ricky Tognazzi, Giuseppe Cederna, Giuseppe Spitaleri as young Guido, Elio Germano, Roberto Nobile, Andrea Di Stefano and Remo Remotti is scheduled to hit theaters on December 25, 2009.

Nicolas Cage plays a rogue detective who is as devoted to his job as he is at scoring drugs – while playing fast and loose with the law. He wields his badge as often as he wields his gun in order to get his way.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina he becomes a high-functioning addict who is a deeply intuitive, fearless detective reigning over the beautiful ruins of New Orleans with authority and abandon.

Complicating his tumultuous life is the prostitute he loves (Eva Mendes). Together they descend into their own world marked by desire, compulsion, and conscience. The result is a singular masterpiece of filmmaking: equally sad and manically humorous.

Abel Ferrera directed and co-wrote the 1992 original, which earned Harvey Keitel an Independent Spirit Award for his performance as a drug-addled, gambling sex addict who investigates the rape of a nun.

The film already appeared at the Toronto and Venice film festivals is set to hit theaters on November 20th 2009 in limited release.

Leaves Of Grass | Edward Norton

Tim Blake Nelson directed and wrote the script with Edward Norton in mind to play twin brothers.

The comedy also stars Tim Blake Nelson, Susan Sarandon, Richard Dreyfuss, Keri Russell, Lucy DeVito, Steve Earle and Josh Pais.

In “Leaves of Grass,” Bill Kincaid (Norton) is a buttoned-up Ivy League philosophy professor; his pot-growing identical twin brother (also Norton) lures him back to his hometown in rural Oklahoma for an ill-conceived deal to bilk a local drug-lord (Dreyfuss).

Bill gets entangled in his brother’s schemes and implicated in a murder, and his ordered philosophical life starts to fall apart.

Also starring in the film are Susan Sarandon as Bill’s estranged mother and Keri Russell as a love interest for one of the brothers. Nelson plays the friend of one of the brothers.

Today we have four and a half minute long featurette and three Japanese TV sposts for the upcoming “Avatar” movie, featuring several new scenes.

“Avatar” is the story of a wounded ex-Marine (Sam Worthington) who finds himself thrust into hostilities on an alien planet filled with exotic life forms. As an Avatar, a human mind in an alien body, he finds himself torn between two worlds, in a desperate fight for his own survival and that of the indigenous people.

This live action movie, with a new generation of special effects, which stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Michelle Rodriguez, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Peter Mensah, Laz Alonso, Wes Studi, Stephen Lang and Matt Gerald, will be released on December 18th 2009.

Columbia Pictures has released the teaser trailer for the new comedy “Grown Ups.”

Five friends and former teammates reunite years later to honor the passing of their childhood basketball coach. With their wives and kids in tow, they spend the Fourth of July holiday weekend together at the lake house where they celebrated their championship years earlier. Picking up where they left off, they discover why growing older doesn’t mean growing up.

The film reunites Adam Sandler with several of his “Saturday Night Live” co-stars, including David Spade, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider and Kevin James. Also stars Salma Hayek, Steve Buscemi, Maria Bello and Gary Busey.

“Grown Ups”, directed by Dennid Dugan – the filmmaker behind of some of Sandler’s earlier films like “Happy Gilmore” and “Big Daddy,” will be in theatres on June 25, 2010.
