Fox studio has its eye on Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt to star as Nathan Detroit and Sky Masterson in a remake of the classic musical Guys and Dolls.
There’s no director or writer attached yet to Fox’s new Guys and Dolls film. The involvement of Tatum and Gordon-Levitt depends on the script and who the director is.
As for the two of the hottest young stars in Hollywood right now, they should have no problem singing and dancing on the big screen at all (from the Oscars to ‘Saturday Night Live’). Besides, the killer pair have worked together before in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Stop-Loss, and Havoc.
However, the roles of Sky Masterson and Nathan Detroit were played to perfection by Marlon Brando and Frank Sinatra in Joseph L. Mankiewicz’s 1955 movie musical that wasn’t the original incarnation of the short stories of Damon Runyon.
The story takes place in the 1940s and centers on a group of New York City petty criminals and professional gamblers, following a bet between two friends, Detroit and Masterson to win the affections of a woman who runs a mission.
Definitely one to keep an eye on.
