Darren Aronofsky and George Clooney

This is one of those projects that definitely sounds promising. Not just because we know that Black Swan helmer Darren Aronofsky will be in the director’s chair, but because it already has George Clooney attached to star!

Ok, not much is known about the whole thing, but we do know that it will be a film based on the sci-fi script Human Nature.

So, according to Vulture, the spec script by Jeff Welch, which has been around for 15 years, centers on “a man who is cryogenically frozen and wakes up years later to a world in which humans have become pets of another species.”

Of course, that man will probably be George Clooney.

Producer Akiva Goldsman is said to be working out budget figures, and, if things work out, this could be Darren Aronofsky’s next movie.

It isn’t clear when production might begin yet, but yes, this definitely means Aronofsky is no longer attached to direct The Wolverine.

We’ll keep an eye on it, so stay tuned!
