Dylan McDermott and Scott Caan star in ‘Mercy’
Dylan McDermott and Scott Caan have signed to star in the indie romance film Mercy.Variety reports Caan wrote the story for the film and will also serve as a producer with Vincent Palomino and Phil Parmet.
The film will also star Alexie Gilmore, Erika Christensen, Troy Garity and John Boyd also star. It will be directed by Patrick Hoelck and is set to start production on Monday in Los Angeles.
The film follows a successful but cynical young novelist who writes tales of love but doesn’t believe in it. His opinion changes when he falls in love for the first time.
Mercy is the first film from the independent production company formed by Caan and Hoelck. Caan has finished work on the Eddie Murphy film Meet Dave and has produced Dallas 362 and The Dog Problem.
