After Open Road Films delayed Jobs from an original April release date, last week it was revealed that the film will be released in limited theaters starting August 16th, 2013.
Now, the first full trailer for the Joshua Michael Stern‘s biopic about Steve Jobs has arrived.
Both Ashton Kutcher as the title character and the film as a whole received mixed reviews when Jobs initially debuted at Sundance. Described ‘like the PC version of the story instead of the Apple’ Jobs details the major moments and defining characters that influenced one of the greatest entrepreneurs in American history on a daily basis from 1971 through 2000.
Give it a look.
Josh Gad co-stars as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak with Dermot Mulroney, Matthew Modine, J.K. Simmons, Ahna O’Reilly, Lukas Haas, James Woods, Lesley Ann Warren and Kevin Dunn rounding up supporting roles.
Penned by Matthew Whitely, the indie film was shot by Oscar-winning cinematographer Russell Carpenter and produced by Mark Hulme.
Here’s a synopsis for the film:
We follow Steve Jobs (Ashton Kutcher) from the enthusiasm and self-discovery of his youth through his darkest days, brightest triumphs, and the ultimate power of his drive, his passions, and his undying will to change everything we thought possible. Dark, honest, and uncompromising, Jobs plunges into the depths of Steve Jobs’ character, uncovering his driving motivations, his gifts, his flaws, his failures, and his ultimate successes.
