First “G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra” Poster
Film1.nl took a picture at the Cinema EXPO in Amsterdam today of a poster for the new G.I. Joe movie. The poster, featuring Channing Tatum as Duke, reveals that the full title for the movie is G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra.
Hasbro has bought the domain name GIJoeRiseofCobra.com, so it is a pretty good indication that it will be the title.
The story revolves around a European-based military unit known as Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity (G.I.J.O.E.), which is a hi-tech, international force of special operatives that takes on an evil organization led by a notorious arms dealer.
The Stephen Sommers-directed film, co-starring Dennis Quaid, Sienna Miller, Ray Park, Rachel Nichols, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Said Taghmaoui, Marlon Wayans, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Arnold Vosloo and Christopher Eccleston has started shooting in February, and is currently scheduled to hit theaters on August 7th, 2009.
