First Poster for Shakespeare’s “King Lear” starring Al Pacino

Today we have the first poster for new adaptation of Shakespearean tragedy “King Lear“,which will be directed by Michael Radford (Il Postino: The Postman, The Merchant of Venice, Flawless) and starring Al Pacino. It is interesting that Pacino played many Shakespearean characters, but he has never played King Lear.

In this Shakepeare’s classic tale of an aging king who splits up his kingdom for his three daughters to govern. Two of them are scheming connivers who flatter their father, while the one loving daughter, Cordelia, refuses to play that game and is exiled.
