Columbia Pictures has released six new photos from the highly-anticipated David Fincher‘s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, featuring both of the film’s stars, Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig, both individually and coming together, Christopher Plummer, and Yorick van Wageningen.

Based on the hit novel by Stieg Larsson, the film stars Daniel Craig (Cowboys & Aliens) as journalist Mikael Blomkvist, who is enlisted by a wealthy family to solve the mystery of a young girl’s disappearance. Rooney Mara (The Social Network) stars as Lisbeth Salander, a mysterious hacker who assists Blomkvist in his increasingly dangerous hunt to find the truth.

The adaptation also stars Stellan Skarsgård , Steven Berkoff, Robin Wright, and Joely Richardson.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo has a December 21 release date.
