God bless artists! Thanks to all these great, great (and let me repeat once again – great) images, we finally have a chance to see how that mysterious and exotic planet of Barsoom actually looks like!

Yeah, you already guess we’re here to talk about the upcoming John Carter movie again! See, it’s possible to get excited about the same project only 5 minutes after sharing that I-expected-more trailer for the whole thing!

What else can I say about the concept art for Andrew Stanton‘s upcoming movie? It sure transports us all to Barsoom aka the fantasy version of Mars.

I never ever imagined that planet looked so fascinating, not even in Edgar Rice Burroughs’ novels.

And for the end, let me just add that it’s so hard for me to believe that Stanton brought this world to life using Zion National Park in Utah.

Guess I’m not so visual type of person after all…

The film stars Taylor Kitsch as John Carter, as well as: James Purefoy, Mark Strong, Lynn Collins, Willem Dafoe, Bryan Cranston, Dominic West, Thomas Hayden Church, Samantha Morton and Polly Walker. John Carter is set for a March 9th, 2012 release.
