John Lithgow Joins Zach Galifianakis and Will Ferrell DOG FIGHT

We already had a little chat about the upcoming Jay Roach‘s political comedy Dog Fight, so you won’t mind a little update.

As we previously learned Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis are set to star as two rival politicians but according to the latest reports John Lithgow is on board for the whole thing as well!

Dog Fight is written by Chris Henchy and Shawn Harwell and it follows two rival politicians as they run for a congressional seat in a small North Carolina District Election.

As for Lithgow, there’s still nothing on his character but I definitely hope he’s on board to star as some bad politician as well. Villain politician, yeah, that would be cool!

The rest of the cast is also great – Jason Sudeikis, Dylan McDermott, Sarah Baker and Katherine LaNasa are all involved in Dog Fight which opens August 10th, 2012.
