Kaboom

Another movie that just had its premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival Out Of Competition, was a science fiction film both written and directed by Gregg Araki, with an interesting title Kaboom.

This story centers on “the sexual awakening of a group of college students,” so you already guess that it’s quite provocative project, with super hot young cast. And we are here today to share Cannes clip from Kaboom with you.

Here’s the synopsis part: “A hyper-stylized Twin Peaks for the Coachella Generation, featuring a gorgeous, super hot young cast, Kaboom is a wild and sex-drenched horror-comedy thriller that tells the story of Smith, an ambisexual 18-year-old college freshman who stumbles upon a monstrous conspiracy in a seemingly idyllic Southern California seaside town…

Kaboom

Smith’s everyday life in the dorms – hanging out with his arty, sarcastic best friend Stella, hooking up with a beautiful free spirit named London, lusting for his gorgeous but dim surfer roommate Thor – all gets turned upside-down after one fateful, terrifying night.

Tripping on some hallucinogenic cookies he ate at a party, Smith is convinced he’s witnessed the gruesome murder of an enigmatic Red Haired Girl who has been haunting his dreams.”

As we said, Araki (that we all remember from 2004 Mysterious Skin) was in charge for the Kaboom script, and movie stars Thomas Dekker, Juno Temple, Kelly Lynch, Rooney Mara, Roxane Mesquida and James Duval.

Enjoy this dream sequence from the film, but stay awake and stay tuned!
