Keep Calm and Karey On is an upcoming ABC’s comedy pilot which comes from director Gail Mancuso and has a pretty good cast on board.
We’ve just learned that Kelly Preston is set to star as the female lead which means that she will join previously announced Majandra Delfino and Jane Seymour. So far – so good, hope you agree?
Mancuso will direct the single-camera comedy from a script written by Andrea Abbate, which on Karey, the clean-nosed black sheep in a family of petty thieves, drug addicts and narcissists.
Her life becomes a mess when her brother is sent to prison and she decides to raise his kids along with her adopted African-American son and give them the normal lives they deserve.
At this moment we know that Preston will star as that Karey lady, the vibrant mother to the three adopted kids who is overwhelmed in her quest to be a good parent to the needy kids that doesn’t always want or respect her input.
As for the rest of the cast, Majandra Delfino is on board to play Kerey’s sister Penny, who seems very clueless to what is going on around her, while Jane Seymour, will play their mother Dotty (which sounds funny since she’s only 11 years older than Preston).
Anyway, we’ll keep calm and Karey on, so make sure you stay tuned for more!
