McG or Breck Eisner to Direct Ouija

Ok guys, nothing is yet known about the plot of this film, but it has already been described as “a four-quadrant supernatural adventure centering around a family, with influences from The Mummy and Indiana Jones.”

McG and Breck Eisner

You like that description? Well, if you do, then get ready for an upcoming Universal’s adaptation that already has McG and Breck Eisner in consideration for director’s seat. And, just in case you have no idea what we’re talking about, here’s a little description: “A Ouija board, also known as a spirit board or talking board, is a flat board marked with letters, numbers, and other symbols, supposedly used to communicate with spirits. It uses a planchette (small heart-shaped piece of wood) or movable indicator to indicate the spirit’s message by spelling it out on the board during a séance. The fingers of the séance participants are placed on the planchette, which then moves about the board to spell out messages.” Let’s also mention that filmmakers such as Sylvain White (The Loosers), Pierre Morel (Taken), Scott Stewart (Legion) and John Moore (Max Payne) have all made presentations that have failed to impress Universal. Still, one thing is for sure, the script was written by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, who penned Tron: Legacy and Lost. We expect Universal’s decision soon as the film is already set for a November 9, 2012 release. As usual, we’ll keep an eye on this project, so stay tuned!
