Michael B. Jordan To Play Johnny Storm In FANTASTIC FOUR Reboot

Michael B. Jordan Yesterday, it was reported that the Girls star Allison Williams was being discussed as a possibility to star in Twentieth Century Fox’s reboot of Fantastic Four and now Chronicle star Michael B. Jordan is being considered to reunite with director Josh Trank for the upcoming remake. Jordan is reportedly to be up for the role of Johnny ‘The Human Torch’ Storm in the Fantastic Four relaunch, while Williams was on the short list to play Sue Storm/Invisible Woman in the film. It wouldn’t make an awful lot of sense if she and Jordan played brother and sister, but I also support color blind casting. Jordan is also ‘hot’ right now, coming off his acclaimed performance in the Sundance hit, Fruitvale Station, which took home two awards at the festival earlier this year. Chris Evans (Steve Rogers/Captain America) portrayed Johnny Storm’s character in the 2005 Fantastic Four movie adaptation. Produced by Matthew Vaughn and based on a script penned by Jeremy Slater and revised by Seth Grahame-Smith, the rebooted Fantastic Four will open in U.S. theaters on March 6th, 2015. Josh Trank-directed adaptation will be the third time that Fox has tackled Marvel’s First Family with Tim Story-directed original Fantastic Four in 2005 and a sequel, Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer, in 2007.
