MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 4 Photo: Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt

Check out a new photo of Tom Cruise for the fourth installment of his Ethan Hunt spy series, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol. Brad Bird (The Incredibles, Ratatouille) is directing the feature that also stars Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton, Simon Pegg, Josh Holloway and Anil Kapoor.

Ethan Hunt is back with his rogue new team as go undercover when the Ghost Protocol is initiated in order to clear their organization’s name.

The film is based on a script by Josh Applebaum & Andre Nemec, based on a story that J.J. Abrams wrote with them.

Mission: Impossible 4 is due out in theaters and IMAX on December 16, 2011.
