“Annie Hall” won Academy Awards in 1978 for Best Actress Diane Keaton, Best Director Woody Allen, Best Picture for producer Charles H. Joffe and Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen for Woody Allen and Marshall Brickman.
Allen was also nominated for Best Actor, but lost to Richard Dreyfuss (“The Goodbye Girl”)
“Annie Hall” beat out “Star Wars,” “The Goodbye Girl,” “Julia” and “The Turning Point” for Best Picture.
