A few days ago we shared the teaser trailer and some pretty cool images from the upcoming Muppets Most Wanted, remember? Good, ’cause we finally have an official logo for the whole thing, and as usual – you can check it out in the rest of this report. As director Bobin already revealed, the movie is a tip of the hat to the old-school crime capers of the ’60s, but featuring a frog, a pig, a bear and a dog along with the usual Muppet-y mix of mayhem, music and laughs. Sounds promising?
Well, of course it sounds promising when the upcoming musical comedy has an awesome cast on board! In case you forgot, the movie stars Tom Hiddleston, Salma Hayek, Christoph Waltz, Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell, Tina Fey and more.
James Bobin directs the whole thing from a script he co-wrote with Nicholas Stoller, the movie is a sequel to the 2011’s The Muppets, and David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman, who produced the previous film, are once again on board, as well as musician Bret McKenzie.
Disney’s Muppets Most Wanted is already set to hit theaters on March 21st, 2014, and for those who may have missed the official synopsis:
…takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid and London. But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine – the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit – and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two.
