Henry Alex Rubin‘s drama Disconnect is set to open next month, and as you already see from our title – we’re here for a little update! Some pretty cool images and a brand new poster for the movie have arrived, and we definitely recommend you to check them out in the rest of this report. The movie has an awesome cast on board, and as you know – explores the impact of the internet on our daily lives and stuff like that…
Henry Alex Rubin directed the film from a script written by Andrew Stern, which:
…interweaves three emotional potboiler storylines about people searching for human connection in today’s wired world of the internet. By turns comic, harrowing and touching, it explores the consequences of living life everywhere but right where you are.
The movie stars Alexander Skarsgard as a former Marine who is emotionally cut off from his wife, played by Paula Patton, causing him to seek out an affair.
Frank Grillo plays a single father trying to protect his child from the dangers of the interwebs with Colin Ford playing his son who deals with emotional pain by talking to another troubled teen online under the pretense of being a teen girl.
Michael Nyqvist also stars as a man who Skarsgard and his wife suspect of taking their identity, and Andrea Riseborough plays a TV reporter who seeks out a story about a young man who poses nude online when she becomes frustrated with her job.
The rest of the cast also includes Jason Bateman, Hope Davis, Max Thieriot, Jonah Bobo and Haley Ramm.
Disconnect is set to open on April 12th, 2013.
