The first official trailer for Ivan Reitman‘s upcoming romantic comedy No Strings Attached, starring Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher, is online.

In the film, Portman and Kutcher’s characters are best friends who decide to embark on a relationship of casual sex. Their friends with benefits plan gets a little complicated when one of them starts to fall in love with the other and yearns for a real relationship.

Sony Pictures Classics has debuted a brand new domestic trailer and poster for Sylvain Chomet‘s long-awaited traditional animated film The Illusionist. Chomet is best known for the award winning The Triplets of Belleville.

Synopsis: The Illusionist is one of a dying breed of stage entertainers. With emerging rock stars stealing his thunder, he is forced to accept increasingly obscure assignments in fringe theatres, at garden parties and in bars and cafes. However, while performing in a village pub off the west coast of Scotland, he encounters Alice, an innocent young girl, who will change his life forever.

Watching his performance to the excited and amazed villagers who are celebrating the arrival of electricity to their remote island, Alice becomes awestruck by our hero and believes his tricks are real magic.

Silent Hill 2 Gets Title and Director

STYD reports that Michael J. Bassett, who last wrote and directed Solomon Kane, will direct Silent Hill: Revelations.

Bassett revealed that the sequel will be filmed with 3-D cameras instead of being converted post production.

The plot for Silent Hill 2 goes thusly:

The sequel follows Heather Mason, along with her father, who have been on the run – always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn’t full understand, Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by horrific nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she’s not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever.

London Boulevard is based on Ken Bruen‘s novel and and features Colin Farrell as a former prisoner who’s back on the streets, where he is quickly entangled with a gangster (Ray Winstone) and an actress (Keira Knightley) he’s been hired to protect. Co-stars Stephen Graham, David Thewlis, Eddie Marsan, and Anna Friel.

The movie is written and directed by Oscar-winning screenwriter William Monahan (The Departed), who is making his directorial debut.
