Robert Zemeckis

Another interesting project is coming, and as usual we’re here to share the latest movie news with you! So, check this out guys.

According to the latest reports, Robert Zemeckis is set to direct a live action feature titled Flight. And, it looks that it’s not all, because THR has just revealed that Denzel Washington is “loosely attached” to star in it!

Flight is the story that will follow a commercial airline pilot unfortunately named Whip Whitaker, who is labeled a hero after he successfully lands his plane full of passengers after a malfunction on board.

However, an investigation turns up the fact that he was under the influence of drugs and alcohol while flying, as he struggles with the hero status he now must wear, and the pilot’s union and airline keep the truth under wraps to prevent a scandal.

Zemeckis will direct the movie from the script by John Gatins (Coach Carter) while Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald (Dinner for Schmucks) will be in charge for producing the whole thing.

Of course, Zemeckis is still in early negotiations to direct Flight, and nothing is confirmed at the moment, but you must admit that with this kind of team on board it could definitely be something worth our full attention.

We’ll keep an eye on this one, make sure to stay tuned!
