Seth Rogen to Produce and Star in THE B TEAM
With production skills proven by long list of previous releases on a number of Judd Apatow’s projects including this year’s stellar 50/50, Seth Rogen coming on as a producer on Disney’s spy comedy called The B Team.
The project is a spy comedy from the scripting team of Derek Guiley and David Schneiderman, which centers on a top secret agent’s tech support team and researchers who are tasked with rescuing him after he’s kidnapped.
Rogen will produce the film with an eye towards starring, though he did not specify the roles they would play.
Rogen will next be seen in Paramount’s mother-son comedy My Mother’s Curse opposite Barbara Streisand, and he is gearing up to make his directorial debut with Jay and Seth vs. The Apocalypse.
So, Rogen will try to repeat success of 50/50, which was nominated for a Spirit Award as best feature and a Golden Globe in the comedy/musical category.
He has also executive produced several movies that he starred in — The Green Hornet, Superbad, Pineapple Express, Knocked Up and Funny People.
