25th Spirit Awards 2010 Winners
They all say this show changed a little bit, but we guess it was expected for the 25th annual ceremony from Stapless Center, or if you prefer – the Spirit Awards.
Last week we were all occupied with Oscar, but it’s always the right time to take a look at (maybe) less popular ceremony, but still – the good one! We’re going to remind you of this ceremony highlights.
Oscar Against Comedy?
What happened with all good old films that used to make us cry out of laughter? Really, guys, I want to see some movies that will make me laugh.
Ok, maybe we became too occupied with every day routine, maybe we still think too much about our jobs, money, family problems? Problems with our neighbors? No, no, I’m not hinting on any movie… (yet)!
While watching this year’s Oscar nominations, one can’t help but wonder – why isn’t there category for best Comedy? Go out and tell some director – “man, that was a good job, here’s the Oscar!” Is it possible that somewhere out there does not exist some great, funny masterpiece that will make our stomach hurt?
Or is there some problem in Academy policy that just thinks that is not worth our attention? And yes, we do understand that we’re living in some crazy time, where money rules everything, so we’re not trying to act like some saints with mission to return stumbled world on a right direction. We just want to laugh! From time to time! Are we asking too much?! Or, does that cost too much?
500 Days of Summer Trailer and Photos Online!
Fox Searchlight has released the official trailer for their upcoming romantic comedy “(500) Days of Summer“.
When Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), a hapless greeting card copywriter and hopeless romantic, is blindsided after his girlfriend Summer (Zooey Deschanel) dumps him, he shifts back and forth through various periods of their 500 days “together” to try to figure out where things went wrong. His reflections ultimately lead him to finally rediscover his true passions in life.

At the end of the 81st Annual Academy Awards, Hugh Jackman said to stay tune to check the upcoming 2009 movies, many of which will compete for the 2009 Oscar.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Zooey Deschanel join ’500 Days’
Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel have joined the cast of romance-comedy 500 Days of Summer.
Clark Gregg, Minka Kelly, Matthew Gray Gubler and Rachel Boston also star in the film, based on a script by Scott Neustadter and Michael M. Weber.
The story revolves around a man (Gordon-Levitt) who falls for a woman (Deschanel) who doesn’t believe in love.
Shooting began in LA on Tuesday.
Deschanel recently signed to star opposite Chloe Sevigny in indie comedy Divorce Ranch.
Gordon-Levitt will play the Cobra Commander in the upcoming G.I. Joe movie.
