Walton Goggins- G.I. Joe 2

Well, it appears another first rate actor has signed up for G.I. Joe reboot full-titled G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation. His name is Walton Goggins and he has joined mainly a new cast of toy-inspired world shown in 2009s G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.

Of course, Channing Tatum (Duke), veterans Ray Park (Snake Eyes), and Byung-Hun Lee (Storm Shadow) will reprise their roles from the original.

Bruce Willis to Play Original Joe in G.I. JOE 2: RETALIATION?

By Fiona | Aug 10, 2011 | Movie News (0) Comment

Bruce WillisBruce Willis in G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation? Let’s see, R… r… to retaliateto return like for like; specifically, to return evil for evil; as, to retaliate upon an enemy.

Hell yeah, he’s that guy. What can I tell you, if it’s good enough for my dictionary – it’s good enough for me as well!

But let’s cut the crap, I like this news because at least I don’t have to write about Willis in Die Hard thing, it’s kind of humiliating.

So, the word is that Willis is now in some serious negotiations to join the cast of Paramount’s G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation.

First, it was just another cool rumor, now we’re talking about negotiations, which is pretty much the same shit, except now we have Willis marked to play General Joe Colton, the original G.I. Joe.

Actually I think he’s the perfect guy to play the man who starts the G.I. Joe strike team, called the ultimate freedom fighting force, and got the handle G.I. Joe.

Elektra Luxx

Check out the trailer, and poster for the upcoming Sebastian Gutierrez comedy Elektra Luxx. The movies stars Carla Gugino as the title character alongside Adrianne Palicki, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Malin Akerman, Christine Lakin, Julianne Moore, Timothy Olyphant, Alicia Silverstone and  Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Recently retired from the adult film industry, superstar Elektra Luxx (Carla Gugino) is pregnant with the child of late rock star Nick Chapel. She is trying to make ends meet by teaching a community college sex education class aimed at housewives when a figure from her past, flight attendant Cora (Marley Shelton), approaches her with a proposition. In exchange for the (stolen) lyrics to Nick Chapel’s last record, all of which is about Elektra, Cora needs Elektra to seduce her fiancee. Elektra reluctantly agrees to do this favor, setting in motion a series of hilarious events which will see her come face to face with detectives, sex bloggers, emotionally unstable neighbors and the Virgin Mary herself as she wrestles with the prospect of motherhood and tries to become a person of substance.

Legion Review

By Allan Ford | Jan 25, 2010 | Movie Reviews (1) Comment

Legion

Legion” begins in Los Angeles, where the angel Michael (Paul Bettany) literally falls from the sky and brings destruction with him. As the city falls into darkness (again: literally), he hits the road in search of Charlie (Adrienne Palicki), who, despite being an eight-months-pregnant non-virgin, is still the prophesied mother of humanity’s savior. The tiny desert diner where Charlie waitresses for owner Bob (Dennis Quaid) and his son Jeep (Lucas Black) serves as ground zero for the battle against agents of God in the form of “weak” possessed humans who function much like classic Romero zombies. With the diner surrounded and the patrons inside turning against one another, it’s up to Jeep and Michael to keep Charlie safe long enough for the second coming of Jesus to take his first baby breath…read more [FEARNet]

Sadly, the much-needed depth brought to the characters in this simple story by the quality cast and the quieter dramatic moments isn’t going to do much for anyone sold on the movie merely expecting lots of creatures and action. As much as “Legion” looks great, filled with all sorts of interesting visual ideas, not all of them fully work – the possessed humans themselves are kind of lame, which doesn’t help matters since for many, they’re the biggest selling point…read more [ComingSoon]
