Mike Medavoy has optioned the film rights and he will produce alongside Akiva Goldsman the big-screen adaptation of literary horror novel Those Across the River. Paranormal Activity 2′s Tod ‘Kip’ Williams is attached to scribe and direct the film version of a ‘page-turner’ book by Christopher Buehlman, published in September.

What is this that is happening with Ron Howard’s adaption of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower while I’m asleep?
First, Christian Bale‘s name all over the internet as the lead or if you prefer the gunslinger Roland Deschain in the whole thing, and now, Javier Bardem? Easy, guys!
We’re here for an official update! So, it goes like this: Javier Bardem has officially been offered the role of Deschain in The Dark Tower but no formal negotiations have begun yet.
If he accepts the role, Bardem will play Roland Deschain, a gunslinger who’s on a quest to find the Dark Tower, which is said to be the universe’s nexus.
While formal negotiations haven’t yet begun, there’s a high level of enthusiasm internally that they’ve got their cowboy.

Guy Ritchie To Direct Lobo
Sherlock Holmes director Guy Ritchie has signed on to direct a live-action adaptation of DC Comics’ bad boy anti-hero Lobo, a character originated in 1983 in “Omega Men” by Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen.
Lobo is a alien interstellar bounty hunter. The seven-foot tall, blue-skinned, indestructible and heavily muscled anti-hero drives a pimped out motorcycle, and lands on Earth in search of four fugitives who are bent on wreaking havoc.
Fox Officially Announces Fantastic Four Reboot
20th Century Fox has confirmed that it will reboot its Fantastic Four franchise. Rumors of a potential reboot first hit back in March.
Akiva Goldsman (I Am Legend, Hancock, Jonah Hex) has been hired to produce and Michael Green, the executive producer of TV’s “Heroes” and writer of “Green Lantern,” will pen the script for the new “Fantastic Four.”
The 2005 “Fantastic Four” and 2007 sequel “Rise of the Silver Surfer” were directed by Tim Story and starred Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, Michael Chiklis and Ioan Gruffudd. Since the deals for the reboot are just getting made, it is unclear if any of them will return and Fox was unwilling to comment on the development.
