Brand New “Righteous Kill” Poster
The poster for the upcoming Jon Avnet directed crime/drama “Righteous Kill” has been released.
The film reunites Al Pacino and Robert De Niro (thirteen years after they made “Heat”) as a pair of Big Apple police officers investigating a series of murders committed by a serial killer. Carla Gugino co-stars as a crime-scene investigator that has romantic ties to De Niro. 50 Cent, Donnie Wahlberg, Brian Dennehy and John Leguizamo co-star.
“Righteous Kill” is scheduled to hit theaters on September 12th.

Sure they were in “Godfather II” together, but never at the same time. Sure they were in “Heat” together, but only two scenes. Now comes the ultimate team-up of all time.Robert DeNiro. Al Pacino. Righteous Kill. Now we get a poster for their flick:
After 30 years as partners in the pressure cooker environment of the NYPD, highly decorated Detectives David Fisk and Thomas Cowan should be ready for retirement, but aren’t. Before they can hang up their badges, they are called in to investigate the murder of a notorious pimp, which appears to have ties to a case they solved years before. Like the original murder, the victim is a suspected criminal whose body is found accompanied by a four line poem justifying the killing.
When additional crimes take place, it becomes clear the detectives are looking for a serial killer, one who targets criminals that have fallen through the cracks of the judicial system. His mission is to do what the cops can’t do on their own-take the culprits off the streets for good. The similarities between the recent killings and their earlier case raise a nagging question: Did they put the wrong man behind bars?
The cop flick opens September 12. 2008.

Jon Avnet’s thriller Righteous Kill stars Al Pacino and Robert De Niro as a pair of Big Apple police officers investigating a series of murders committed by a serial killer. Carla Gugino co-stars as a crime-scene investigator that has romantic ties to De Niro. 50 Cent, Donnie Wahlberg, Brian Dennehy and John Leguizamo co-star.
“Righteous Kill” features the second big screen pairing of De Niro and Pacino. The actors shared several scenes together in “Heat,” but will appear in tandem throughout much of their new film. (Both also appeared in “The Godfather II,” but never together.)
Their new movie is scheduled to hit theaters on September 12th.

The first teaser trailer for the re-teaming of Al Pacino and Robert De Niro (Heat) in ‘Righteous Kill’ has been released online.
The upcoming serial killer thriller stars Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, 50 Cent, Carla Gugino, Donnie Wahlberg, Brian Dennehy, John Leguizamo, Dan Futterman, Trilby Glover, Rob Dyrdek, Mark Famiglietti, Denis O’Hare, Katie Chonacas, Brett Granstaff, Saidah Arrika Ekulona and Alan Blumenfeld. Jon Avnet is directing, based on a screenplay by Russell Gerwitz.
Al Pacino Is James Bond’s New Enemy?
Though “Quantum of Solace” has started filming for some time, rumors surrounding the film won’t subside. The latest speculation surfaces is that the star of “The Godfather” trilogy Al Pacino is going to make a brief appearance in the latest installment of the James Bond movie.
The rumor was ignited by a tip given to AICN stating that the 67-year-old awards-winning actor has been signed to star as one of the villains. The source noted that a friend working on the movie leaked the information. The tipster said, “But the big news that he leaked was that Al Pacino would be taking part in filming. I was a little shocked as the cast has been revealed already, but he said Pacino would play the head of the terrorist group introduced in ‘Casino Royale’ and ‘Quantum Of Solace’. Al is said to come to Pinewood in April-May to film what is said to be a brief cameo.”
