Olivia Thirlby Joins Judge Dredd
Few weeks ago we reported that Karl Urban will be playing Judge Dredd in the upcoming Pete Travis’ movie.
Today, we’re here for a little casting update, because we just learned that lovely Olivia Thirlby will play Judge Cassandra Anderson, who, according to the script, is “a telepathic rookie who shadows Dredd.”
So, we all know that this character didn’t appear in the previous Judge Dredd movie, which, back in 1995, starred Sylvester Stallone.
But, this time, the story will center on a future where “officers of a special police unit are given the sole power of being judge, jury and executioner to whomever they deem to be criminal.”

The official poster for Never Let Me Go, the upcoming indie drama starring Andrew Garfield, Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan, has been released by Fox Searchlight.

New movie version of Judge Dredd is coming and Star Trek star Karl Urban is set to play the leading role.
You can call this just another rumor, but the actor already confirmed that he’s in the talks for the role and that “at this point it’s lookin’ good.
He is a phenomenal iconic comic book character, so it’s a world I know and it would be a privilege and a pleasure to be able to bring that to life.”
It is set in a futuristic world filled with violence, and the character is empowered to act as judge, jury and executioner.
Never Let Me Go New Release Date September 15, 2010
From time to time Hollywood surprises us all with some great novel adaptations, indeed. That’s exactly the case with an upcoming sci-fi drama thriller based on a Kazuro Ishiguro’s novel Never Let Me Go.
And, when you have a novel that’s already being described as “a remarkable story of love, loss and hidden truths”, then you definitely expect to see a movie that will help you find the answer to that fundamental question – what makes us human?
Fox Searchlight has moved Never Let Me Go from October 1, 2010 to September 15, 2010.

“Never Let Me Go is narrated by a 31-year old woman named Kathy. She’s remembering her days at Hailsham, a boarding school where creativity and health were emphasized. None of the children have parents or surnames.
She has rekindled friendships with Ruth and Tommy, friends from her Hailsham days. The three of them find they don’t fit into society, that they’re not been prepared for a normal life.
Alex Garland To Script Logan’s Run Remake
Ok, we all know Logan’s Run remake is finally coming. And we do know that Carl Rinsch is in charge for directing the whole thing.
But today we’re here to announce that Alex Garland is in negotiations to write the remake. Yes, exactly, Garland, man responsible for 28 Days Later and Sunshine story. Not bad decision at all!
The original film, directed by Michael Anderson, was released in 1976, and revolves around a man known as Logan 5, who is trying escape a mandatory death sentence on his 30th birthday. The story centers on a future society that demands the death of everyone upon reaching a certain age. Anyone who veers from that destiny is dubbed a “runner” and is hunted by operatives known as Sandmen.
Or, if you prefer: “Sometime in the 23rd century…the survivors of war, overpopulation and pollution are living in a great domed city, sealed away from the forgotten world outside. Here, in an ecologically balanced world, mankind lives only for pleasure, freed by the servo-mechanisms which provide everything.
