Miley Cyrus Film ‘So Undercover’ Gets Distributor

The Weinstein Company announced today that it has acquired from Exclusive Media Group (Exclusive) the U.S. distribution rights to So Undercover, an action comedy starring Miley Cyrus (The Last Song, Hannah Montana, LOL).

The film, which was fully financed by Exclusive, is directed by Tom Vaughan (What Happens in Vegas), with a screenplay co-written by Allan Loeb (Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps, 21) and Steven Pearl. Along with Exclusive, the film is being produced by Loeb and Pearl through their company, Scarlet Fire Entertainment and by Tish Cyrus (The Last Song, LOL). Executive Producers are Jodi Zuckerman-Weiner (Hearts in Atlantis) for Cyrus’ production company, Hope Town Entertainment, and Rob Cowan (The Crazies). So Undercover co-stars Jeremy Piven (Entourage), Mike O’Malley (Cedar Rapids, Glee) and Kelly Osbourne (The Osbournes). The announcement was jointly made by TWC Co-Chairman Harvey Weinstein, TWC COO David Glasser and Exclusive Co-Chairmen Guy East and Nigel Sinclair.

Frank Coraci Will Direct Kevin James in Mixed Martial Arts Film

Frank CoraciLet’s talk about an untitled comedy about martial arts. Or something like that.

Anyway, we have the news that goes like this: Frank Coraci (you remember the man from The Wedding Singer) has signed on to direct Kevin James in (still) untitled comedy.

Not such a surprise actually, because we already know the duo from the upcoming comedy Zookeeper (which stars James, directed by Coraci).

So, at this moment we know that Allan Loeb (responsible for The Switch) is behind the story and that the actor will play:

“a physics teacher who moonlights as a mixed martial arts fighter to raise money and save the music program his students love. He makes it all the way to the UFC.”

The Switch Poster

The first poster is out for The Switch, Jennifer Aniston is starring in yet another romantic comedy, acting alongside leading man Jason Bateman.

The film features Aniston as Cassie, a single woman living in New York who decides to have a baby by way of artificial insemination, despite the objections of her neurotic best friend, Wally (Bateman). Wally quickly becomes jealous of the handsome and charismatic donor she has selected (played by Watchmen’s Patrick Wilson), and in a drunken stupor, substitutes his own sperm in place of Wilsons’. Seven years later, he meets his son when Aniston moves back to New York, and has to decide how to reconcile himself to the situation.

Sarandon is negotiating to join “Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps” for 20th Century Fox.

She joins Michael Douglas, Shia LaBeouf, Frank Langella and Carey Mulligan in the sequel to the 1987 “Wall Street” film. Josh Brolin is currently in talks to star in the film as well.

Mulligan joins Michael Douglas (Gekko), Shia LaBeouf and Frank Langella in the sequel to the 1987 “Wall Street” film.

Josh Brolin is currently in talks to star in the film as well.

Mulligan’s character is romantically linked to LaBeouf’s, a young Wall Street broker on his way up. Oscar nominated Langella (”Frost/Nixon”) will play Lewis Zabel, a mentor to Shia LaBeouf’s character. Michael Douglas will reprise his role as Gordon Gekko.

Frank LangellaFrank Langella has been added to the cast of Oliver Stone‘s 1987′s “Wall Street” sequel – “Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps.”

Shia LaBeouf stars with Michael Douglas, who’ll reprise his Best Actor Oscar-winning role as Gordon Gekko role 21 years later. Josh Brolin is currently in talks to star in the film as well.

Oscar nominated Langella (“Frost/Nixon”) will play Lewis Zabel, a mentor to Shia LaBeouf’s character, a young Wall Street broker.

Allan Loeb (”21,” “Things We Lost In The Fire”) has scripted the project. The story reportedly finds Gekko finishing his prison sentence and attempting to reconcile with his estranged daughter, who is dating LaBeouf’s character.
