International Gulliver’s Travels Trailer
An international trailer for the latest Jack Black film Gulliver’s Travels is online. Black will star as the titular role, a man who finds himself stranded on an island who’s inhabitants are very tiny people and he suddenly finds himself a giant among men.
In a contemporary re–imagining of the classic tale, Jack Black stars as Gulliver, a big–talking mailroom clerk who, after he’s mistakenly assigned a travel piece on the Bermuda Triangle, suddenly finds himself a giant among men when he washes ashore on the hidden island of Lilliput, home to a population of very tiny people. At first enslaved by the diminutive and industrious Liliputians, and later declared their hero, Gulliver comes to learn that it’s how big you are on the inside that counts.

Synopsis: Jack Black is bigger than ever…as Gulliver, a perpetual underachiever and wannabe travel writer at a New York newspaper. When he finally makes an effort to actually venture out the city to write a travel piece, a storm-tossed voyage lands him on an island inhabited by tiny folks called Lilliputians. After a rocky beginning, the gargantuan Gulliver becomes an inspiration to his new six-inch-tall friends. He brings them modern-day wonders like a PDA and music video game – while they help him kick it old-school during his travels through this unforgettable world.

2012 Review

“2012” delivers everything you could possibly want from a blockbuster disaster movie, though you have to wonder how Roland Emmerich is going to top the end of the world.
It’s not so much that the Earth is destroyed, but that it’s done so thoroughly. “2012,” the mother of all disaster movies (and the father, and the extended family) spends half an hour on ominous set-up scenes (scientists warn, strange events occur, prophets rant and of course a family is introduced) and then unleashes two hours of cataclysmic special events hammering the Earth relentlessly.
This is fun. “2012″ delivers what it promises, and since no sentient being will buy a ticket expecting anything else, it will be, for its audiences, one of the most satisfactory films of the year. It even has real actors in it. Like all the best disaster movies, it’s funniest at its most hysterical. You think you’ve seen end-of-the-world movies? This one ends the world, stomps on it, grinds it up and spits it out…read more [Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times]
Three “2012″ TV Spots
Sony have released three TV spots for upcoming “2012″ disaster movie.
Never before has a date in history been so significant to so many cultures, so many religions, scientists, and governments. In “2012,” a large group of people must deal with natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions, typhoons and glaciers. The idea stems from the fact that the Mayan calendar ends in 2012, which could mean the end of the world.
“2012″ is directed and co-written by German filmmaker Roland Emmerich (“Godzilla,” “The Patriot,” “The Day After Tomorrow,” “Stargate,” “Independence Day,” “10,000 B.C.”). Harald Kloser (”The Day After Tomorrow,” “10,000 B.C.” “The Thirteenth Floor,” “Alien vs Predator”) worked with Emmerich on the script.
