Beyonce instead Amy Winehouse for Bond Theme?

I was really like the idea that Amy Winehouse do the song for next James Bond movie ‘Quantum of Solace‘.

After few months of speculation, possibility that Amy Winehouse sing for Bond is minimal.

We probably won’t hear her great voice in this movie.

As LatinoReviews reports, Beyonce perhaps will get the job to record Bond theme song.

Of course we will wait for official information.

Daniel Craig Wants Amy Winehouse

Mark Ronson might not think Am Winehouse is good enough to record the new Bond theme but James Bond does.

007 himself, actor Daniel Craig said he was a “huge fan” of the singer and it would be “fantastic” if she sang the theme to the forthcoming Bond Film, ‘Quantum of Solace.’

Speaking to the BBC, Craig said: “…it would be amazing if she could – she’s got an amazing voice and it think it would lend itself beautifully to this but we’ll see.”

We previously wrote that producer Mark Ronson, who had been working with Winehouse on the theme song, said there is no guarantee the song will be added to the soundtrack, because the singer was “not ready to record any music”.

McCartney seeks Winehouse for ‘Quantum of Solace’

Sir Paul McCartney wants Amy Winehouse to sing the theme tune for the new James Bond film, ‘Quantum of Solace‘.

The Beatles legend – who sang the title track for hit 1973 Bond film ‘Live and Let Die’ thinks troubled singer Amy has the perfect voice for a theme song, and offered some advice to her.

“I think Amy Winehouse would be really good, and I think she would do a really good job. My advice to her would be not to try and rhyme Solace with anything – that’s too hard.”, he said.

Paul also said despite being responsible for one of the most popular Bond tunes of all time, he wouldn’t want to have the responsibility again.

“I definitely wouldn’t do it again. I have been trying to think of something to rhyme with Solace and all I can come up with is Wallace! I don’t envy whoever is going to do the song!”, he added.

Other singers who have recorded a 007 theme tune include, Dame Shirley Bassey, Tina Turner, Sir Tom Jones, Carly Simon and Lulu.

Amy Winehouse To Sing In ‘Quantum of Solace’

It’s been recently reported that Amy Winehouse will pen and sing the new James Bond theme song, according to the UK’s The Sun.

But only if Amy stays off drugs the next two months, she must be clean by April.

A source says: ‘That’s when the Bond people make a final decision on who sings the theme. If Amy is clean then, it’s hers.’

Singer could follow in footsteps of Madonna, Paul McCartney and Shirley Bassey and I think that would be great. Ok, she has problems but Amy is great singer and in my opinion, she deserves it.

Of course, Amy is still ‘open question’ and Craig claims that they won’t even think about who sings the track until work on the movie has progressed further.

“Everyone’s speculating about it but we’ve got other things to deal with, there’s no point in writing the song for a movie when we haven’t got a movie.”
