Sony’s Jumping the Broom Announces Cast, Angela Bassett and Paula Patton Co-Stars
Principal photography has begun in Lunenberg, Nova Scotia on the TriStar Pictures’ production of the wedding comedy Jumping The Broom directed by Salim Akil from a screenplay written by Arlene Gibbs and Elizabeth Hunter. The film is slated for theatrical release on May 6, 2011 and distributed by Sony Pictures.
The film stars Angela Bassett (Notorious, Meet The Browns), Paula Patton (Precious, Deja Vu), Laz Alonso (Just Wright, Avatar), Mike Epps (The Hangover, Resident Evil: Extinction), Loretta Devine ( Death at a Funeral, First Sunday), Meagan Good (Stomp The Yard), Tasha Smith(Couples Retreat, Why Did I Get Married ?), DeRay Davis (Old Dogs, Semi-Pro), Julie Bowen (Modern Family), Romeo Miller (Honey), Gary Dourdan (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Perfect Stranger), Pooch Hall (The Game), Brian Stokes Mitchell (The Prince of Egypt), and Valarie Pettiford (Why Did I Get Married?, Stomp The Yard).

Warner Bros.has revealed the first official logo/promotional art in support of director Martin Campbell‘s upcoming DC Comics adaptation Green Lantern.
In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. Official Green Lantern Plot Synopsis Revealed
ComicBookMovie got their hands on the official synopsis for Warner Bros.’ upcoming film adaptation of the comic Green Lantern. Martin Campbell-directed big screen adaptation starring Ryan Reynolds, Peter Sarsgaard, Blake Lively and Mark Strong. Green Lantern is scheduled to hit theaters on June 17th, 2011.

Green Lantern Set Photo: Abin Sur’s Spaceship?
Comicbookmovie has gotten their hands on a photo that appears to be from the Madisonville, Louisiana set of Martin Campbell’s Green Lantern and appears to be the spaceship of Abin Sur, the Green Lantern who gives Hal Jordan (played by Ryan Reynolds) his power ring. It looks like it has made a water landing instead of crashing on land as it does in the comics.
“Notorious” First Movie Clip
The first clip from the upcoming “Notorious” film has been released. Jamal Woolard and Antonique Smith play slain Rapper Notorious B.I.G. and his widow Faith Evans.
In just a few short years, The Notorious BIG rose from the streets of Brooklyn to become one of the most influential hip hop artists of all time. BIG was a gifted storyteller; his narratives about violent life on the streets were told with a gritty, objective realism that won him enormous respect and credibility.
