Angelina Jolie Is Spy In “Edwin A. Salt”
“Edwin A. Salt,” the film was supposed to star Tom Cruise as the title character, an CIA officer who’s accused by a defector of being a Russian sleeper spy.
But now producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura confirmed to MTV that Angelina Jolie is in the movie.
“Jolie is the first person cast, and she is the most important person to be cast, too. It’s going to be a very exciting film, Phillip Noyce is directing it, and we are going to start in February. It’s a big spy movie on a big canvas with a lot of attitude.”
He also added: “How are we going to get out of this? Who is who? And all the great things you love in an intense spy movie. This has it, and a lot more attitude on top of it.”
We will probably know who is who in the next few months.
The Dark Knight Storyman David Goyer On Batman 3 Rumors
Huge succeess for Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight” brought in over $919 million (domestic and worldwide performance) for Warner Brothers, but also brought so much speculations and rumors about the (possible) sequel. So, it’s no surprise that everyone is trying to figure out the casting and talking about Batman 3.
We recently wrote about Johnny Depp’s reactions on rumors about his potential The Riddler role in also potential upcoming “The Dark Knight” sequel.
“It seems like it’d be a fun gig for a while, yeah,” Depp denied.
The same thing is with Philip Seymour Hoffman and role of The Penguin. He said that no one from Warner Brothers has given him a call:
“Some friend of mine told me he read that. First I heard of it”
Or that Angelina Jolie will take the role of Catwoman… OR that Cher is lining up for the same role!?
Finally, somebody has something to say:
“It’s All B.S.“
said “The Dark Knight” Screenwriter David Goyer.
“Chris and I haven’t even talked about it. He quite understandably is taking a long, long vacation and wants to purge himself. We have mused here and there but I mean Chris is pretty much a one movie at a time kind of guy. I wish I could tell you more. There really isn’t anything to tell.” said Goyer.
“If and when Chris is ready to talk – we’ll talk,” he promised.
So, this means that, for the present, there is nothing to announce about a third Batman movie from Nolan and company. No villains are set. No casting has been set. Nolan hasn’t even officially signed on for the third movie yet. There isn’t anything official.

Johnny Depp to play The Riddler in “Dark Knight” Sequel?
With “The Dark Knight“ bringing in over $400 million for Warner Brothers, it’s no surprise that everyone is trying to figure out the casting of the sequel.

Speculations of Batman’s future villains apparently have moved on from which foes to be featured in the possible follow-up of “The Dark Knight” to who are going to portray them.
It was recently reported that Angelina Jolie has been talking to studio executives about taking the role of Catwoman in the sequel to “The Dark Knight.”
UK’s Daily Telegraph has quoted their unnamed source who said that Warner Bros is targeting Johnny Depp to play The Riddler and Philip Seymour Hoffman to take the role of The Penguin. The role of the Riddler has previously been tackled by Frank Gorshin in the television version of Batman, with Jim Carrey wearing the question-mark covered tights in Batman Forever. Meanwhile, the Penguin was handled on television by the incomparable Burgess Meredith, and a distinctively disgusting Penguin was played by Danny DeVito in Batman Returns.
“[Producers] are convinced that the role of the Riddler is perfect for Depp,” said a source. “Johnny’s a pro. He’ll be able to take direction from director Chris Nolan and still make the character his own.
Angelina Jolie Set to Play Catwoman
“Lara Croft’ actress Angelina Jolie may soon be seen portraying the role of Catwoman in a future “Batman” movie.
74-year-old actress Julie Newmar who made the feline vixen famous on the 60s TV series Batman told the New York Daily News:
“My industry friends tell me [she] has made inquiries about the role. I can understand how it would pique her interest. Catwoman is Batman’s one true love. She’s tremendously popular with women because she’s both a heroine and a villainess. When you look at the staggering box office of this current film, which actress wouldn’t want to jump in?”
After Julie Newmar, the role has been essayed by actresses like Eartha Kitt, Lee Meriwether, Hally Berry and Michelle Pfeiffer.

Angelina Jolie missed action movies
Angelina Jolie has revealed that she took a role in action movie ”Wanted” to take a break from serious films.
“I get to be foxy finally! I’ve been doing some serious films and I love them, and I’ll continue to do them, but every once in a while, I miss the action movie, said Jolie, who previously appeared in ”Tomb Raider” and ”Mr. & Mrs. Smith.”
“I miss playing and shooting things up. It was a lot of fun. I miss that stuff, you know. I love being a mum and I love being at home, but every once in a while, I like to do stunts.”
Jolie claimed that ”Wanted” appealed to her because it “doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s a little more nutty and has a sense of humour about itself”.
