James Bond 23 Press Conference: SKYFALL To Be Title of 23rd Bond Film
James Bond will return!
Producer Michael G. Wilson officially confirmed today at the launch press conference that ‘the worst kept secret in London,’ the 23rd Bond film will indeed be called Skyfall.
As the name implies, the stand-alone story, written by John Logan, Neal Purvis & Robert Wade has an ‘emotional resonance’ we will better understand once we see it.
There was a bunch of info revealed. Oscar-winning American Beauty director Sam Mendes said:

Now comes good news for British secret operative fans — Sony Pictures have announced today that they will help MGM co-finance the next Bond film, plus a number of motion pictures in the next five years! They will also have Bond 24 to follow.
According to previous notes Daniel Craig and Judi Dench return in their roles, while Javier Bardem and Ralph Fiennes are both rumored to team. Shooting starts this autumn for a November 9th, 2012 release.
Rachel Weisz to Join Lover Daniel Craig in the Next 007 Film ?
James Bond movie bosses want Rachel Weisz to join lover Daniel Craig in the next 007 film, The Sun disclosed. But not just any villain, the head of Quantum, which is the secret organization responsible for all the trouble in the last two installments. While there have been several actresses who have played villains in the Bond franchise, this will be the first time that one would play the mastermind.
Mi6 opposed the announcement, on the other hand. The Sun’s inside source said:
Casting Rachel was going to be a surprise twist as everyone would assume she’d be a Bond girl when really she would play a villain. But the fly in the ointment is that they are now dating.”
James Bond 23 Finally Gets An Official Release Date!
MGM is announcing that they will indeed step forward with another James Bond. BOND 23 (temp. titled) is set to go into production in late 2011. Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli of EON Productions, together with Gary Barber and Roger Birnbaum, the Co-Chairmen and CEO of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc., yesterday publicized that the 23rd James Bond movie will have a worldwide release on November 9, 2012.
Bond 23 Delayed Indefinitely
007 producers, Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli of EON Productions, today announced they have suspended development on the next James Bond film previously scheduled for release 2011/2012.
Due to the continuing uncertainty surrounding the future of MGM and the failure to close a sale of the studio, we have suspended development on BOND 23 indefinitely. We do not know when development will resume and do not have a date for the release of BOND 23,
stated Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli jointly.
Peter Morgan, Neal Purvis, Robert Wade To Write James Bond 23
Finally, here’s the first official announcement for the 23rd James Bond movie.
Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli of EON Productions and MGM have today announced that Oscar nominated Peter Morgan (“Frost/Nixon,” “The Other Boleyn Girl,” “The Last King of Scotland,” “The Queen“) will team up with Neal Purvis and Robert Wade – co-writers of “Casino Royale” and “Quantum of Solace” – to write the script for Bond 23.
Daniel Craig Cautious About Future as James Bond 007
Speaking to Playboy magazine, actor Daniel Craig has revealed that despite the fact that he signed a contract for a total of four James Bond films, he is not sure that he will return for the third installment. Craig said that where he goes from here depends on “Quantum of Solace.”
“I did sign on for four so a piece of paper says there are two more to do,” he commented. “But let’s see how this one goes. In the film business, everything doesn’t always go according to plan. We’ll wait and see. If it goes wrong, we’ll have to rethink things.”
Re-reading Ian Fleming’s James Bond books made movie hunk Daniel Craig broody and miserable – and that was a good thing. The British stud, who first played 007 in Casino Royale, is back for more Bond in new film Quantum of Solace – and he wanted to portray the darker side of the suave superspy.

‘Quantum of Solace’ In Bregenz, Austria
Residents in the western Austrian town of Bregenz were keeping their eyes peeled Tuesday for actor Daniel Craig who is shooting several scenes for the upcoming James Bond movie in the town.
A film crew will be in town until May 9 to shoot scenes for Quantum of Solace.

Filming Tuesday started with a chase scene in the city’s festival hall, a spokesman for the Bregenz opera festival said.
The city’s annual opera festival, with its signature floating stage on Lake Constance, will play a prominent role in the movie.
Barbara Broccoli wants ‘naked’ Craig in ‘Solace’
Film bosses want Daniel Craig to appear nude in the next James Bond movie, ‘Quantum of Solace‘ say reports.
Producer Barbara Broccoli admitted that she regularly asked Craig whether he would strip off for the role, but confessed that the actor hadn’t complied with her requests so far.
She told: “I’m always after him to take his clothes off, every day.
“I have to fight on behalf of all the women, and some of the men, too. I’m doing my best.”
Craig famously appeared wearing just his swimming shorts in the last 007 film Casino Royale.
