New Joker Poster

Batman on Film got an exclusive look at a brand new poster of The Joker.
Joker (Heath Ledger) looks deranged, psychotic and is The Joker!
The Dark Knight reunites director Christopher Nolan with star Christian Bale, who returns to continue Batman‘s war on crime. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), Batman sets out to destroy organized crime in Gotham for good. The triumvirate proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as the Joker (Heath Ledger), who thrusts Gotham into anarchy and forces the Dark Knight ever closer to crossing the fine line between hero and vigilante.
The Dark Knight is scheduled to hit theaters on July 18th.

Japan gets Batman Bust With Blu-Ray Set
For those of you who like Super hero statues sawed off at the waist or higher, this deal in Japan may be for you. If you’re in Japan. And a geek. On July 23, Japanese folks will get their chance to own Batman Begins on Blu-ray.
That’s about two weeks after release in the U.S. Our gift set edition comes with story boards, script pages and a $7.50 movie credit towards Dark Knight, but in Japan they will get a 25 cm tall bust. Which begs the question, why are we always getting left out on all the cool stuff? What’s the deal with that? The standard Blu-Ray will be around $47, the gift set edition is about $180.

First Review of ‘The Dark Knight’ Online
It looks like the first review of the highly anticipated summer blockbuster The Dark Knight has hit the web! Thanks to IESB reader Dave for giving us the heads up on this one. Jett over at Batman-on-Film found a review online, although written completely in Portuguese, and had a reader translate it roughly.
I say roughly because it’s kind of hard to follow, here’s an excerpt,
The cast is awesome, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman stealing scenes in which all are present. Maggie Gyllenhaal fantastic replacing Katie Holmes and Aaron Eckhart as a great surprise as the politician with a heart of gold whose personality changes after a horrible accident. Another surprise is Eric Roberts as the mobster he knows so well how to do. Christian Bale solid as ever, cool since Bruce Wayne is a rich playboy and Batman is the opposite. The film plays a lot with this duality, all the characters are complex, has ambiguities, very interesting and delicate here.
For the complete review, with spoilers, some pretty major ones that I did not post here, head over to Batman-On-Film and tell Jett IESB sent ya!
Jack Nicholson On Heath Ledger’s Death: “I Told Him So”
Ledger – who has taken over Nicholson’s role as the Joker in the latest instalment of the Batman franchise – was pronounced dead in New York on Tuesday following a suspected drugs overdose.
Entertainmentwise has learnt that Nicholson – who is in London promoting The Bucket List – was confronted by a fan outside the Wolseley restaurant, who asked the veteran actor what he thought about the 28-year-old’s sudden passing.
“I told him so,” the 70-year-old replied cryptically.
Ledger’s body was discovered by a maid in his Manhattan apartment on Tuesday night.
The actor was reportedly found naked in his bed by the maid and the masseuse with pills scattered across his body.
