‘Max Payne’ First Official Photos

Some new photos from the Max Payne movie set have been released. The first show Mark Wahlberg who will be playing Max Payne, the main character who is struggling with the murder of his family; the second has Chris O’Donnell in character, although his character is not as yet known; then there is the last image which appears to be a scene from the movie, the red splotches appear to be blood, however we aren’t sure exactly.

The movie will star Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis and Chris O’Donnell and directed by John Moore, who previously brought us The Omen, Flight of the Phoenix and Behind Enemy Lines. It also has a pretty solid supporting cast that includes Ludacris, Donal Logue and Beau Bridges.

According to Film School Rejects, the film will follow the familiar story: Wahlberg’s Payne is a DEA agent whose family was slain as part of a conspiracy. In order to avenge their deaths, he must come together with a deadly assassin (Mila Kunis) who is also out to avenge the death of a family member, her sister. Chris O’Donnell will play an executive for one of the big corporations that are allegedly involved in the conspiracy.

Max Payne is scheduled to hit theaters on October 17, 2008.

Beau Bridges Cast In ‘Max Payne’

Beau BridgesBeau Bridges has joined the cast of the Fox dramatic thriller “Max Payne“, based on the hit Rockstar video game.Bridges will play B.B. Hensley, a former cop and mentor figure to Max Payne, who helps him track down a cunning, ruthless killer.

Principal photography began March 3 in Toronto on the John Moore-directed film. Beau Thorne penned the script.

Mark Wahlberg stars as Payne, a maverick cop determined to track down those responsible for the murder of his partner and family.

Mila Kunis will play an assassin who teams with Payne to avenge her sister’s death.

Julie Silverman and Scott Faye are producing. Tom Karnowski is executive producing.

Bridges was nominated for an Emmy last year for guest actor in a comedy for his role as Carl Hickey, father of Jason Lee’s Earl Hickey on NBC’s “My Name Is Earl.” He recently wrapped another episode of the sitcom and is set to film an additional episode this month.

Bridges, who is repped by CAA, also has had a regular role on Sci Fi Channel’s “Stargate: SG-1.”
